Samsung won’t be releasing the Android 4.4 KitKat update for the international variant of the Galaxy S III and Galaxy S III, quoting the lack of RAM as a reason.

It’s bogus explanation given the fact that Google optimized KitKat to work smoothly even on devices with 512MB of RAM. Samsung has a different problem though — all of its phones ship with a ton of bloatware and that’s causing the problem.

The good thing is that North American model will get the new software thanks to its 2GB of RAM.
