Samsung recently announced that it has officially sold 3 million of its Galaxy S smartphones in the United States. There are currently five such devices on the big four major carriers. Verizon Wireless sells the Samsung Fascinate and the Continuum, AT&T sells the Captivate, Sprint sells the Epic 4G, and T-Mobile sells the Vibrant. It's also available on U.S. Cellular. Samsung Mobile has 32.1 percent of the U.
The Sony Ericsson's X10 mini is now available on sale in the UK. Carphone Warehouse is retailing the phone for free on plans as low as £15 ($21.55) a month -- and it's available on T-Mobile, 3, Orange, and Vodafone -- or £249.95 ($359) if you just want to buy the phone without commitments.
3 UK customers can now order the new Nokia N97 on the company's website. The omnipresent "free calling" tag basically means that you'll be able to use Skype for free calls to other Skype users. Pricing includes a free deal, that is if you agree for £35+ monthly instalments. The unlocked version will cost you £319.
T-Mobile and 3 have agreed to combine their UK 3G networks to close existing coverage gaps across the country, while at the same time increasing cost efficiency and network reliability, as well as reducing prices for their services.
This is a mutually beneficial solution, especially for their customers.
