3 million Samsung Galaxy S smartphones shipped in U.S.

Samsung recently announced that it has officially sold 3 million of its Galaxy S smartphones in the United States. There are currently five such devices on the big four major carriers. Verizon Wireless sells the Samsung Fascinate and the Continuum, AT&T sells the Captivate, Sprint sells the Epic 4G, and T-Mobile sells the Vibrant. It's also available on U.S. Cellular. Samsung Mobile has 32.1 percent of the U.

Sony Ericsson X10 mini on sale in UK, available for free on contract

The Sony Ericsson's X10 mini is now available on sale in the UK. Carphone Warehouse is retailing the phone for free on plans as low as £15 ($21.55) a month -- and it's available on T-Mobile, 3, Orange, and Vodafone -- or £249.95 ($359) if you just want to buy the phone without commitments.

HTC Bravo to be available in March from 3 Sweden

3 Sweden's official Facebook page made mention last week of a March launch of the Android 2.1 based HTC Bravo, which will substitute the Nexus One.The handset's features include:

  • Snapdragon CPU;
  • 3.7" AMOLED display;
  • 5Mpix camera;
  • Android 2.1-based;
  • HTC's Sense UI

There's a chance T-Mobile will offer it too.

3 UK customers can now order the new Nokia N97 on the company's website. The omnipresent "free calling" tag basically means that you'll be able to use Skype for free calls to other Skype users. Pricing includes a free deal, that is if you agree for £35+ monthly instalments. The unlocked version will cost you £319.

3 Italia in a partnership with Chinese ZTE and Italian design centre MOMODESIGN present two new stylish video phones - MD2 and MD3.

Both models support UMTS network with latter additionally supporting HSDPA thanks to Qualcomm MSM 6280 chipset, and feature rotatable touch-screens and a DVB-H TV receivers. And that's all for now.

The device is primarily targeted at business customers and comes with the following features:

  • GSM/GPRS (850/900/1800/1900 MHz);
  • 320 x 240 LCD display;
  • QWERTY keyboard;
  • 16MB of RAM/64MB of ROM;
