The new Nokia's roadmap unveils several upcoming cameraphones, one of which integrates an 8Mpix camera - a first for Nokia. And now lets go down the list:

Nokia IP08

• A wide touchscreen display;
• A 5Mpix autofocus camera;
• Full QWERTY keyboard;
• aGPS;
• Wi-Fi connectivity;
• FM radio and transmitter;
• TV-out;
• Bluetooth connectivity;

Nokia Corolla

• 3" display with a VGA resolution;
• An 8Mpix camera (a first for Nokia);
• A “half QWERTY keyboard”;

Nokia Ivalo

Sharp has released a new 8Mpix cameraphone in Japan, and obviously only for Japan. It is called Sharp SH-01A and is available now in a choice of blue, black, white or pink colors, and has the following features:

• 3.3" display with 480 x 854 resolution;
• ISO up to 2500;
• Face detection (up to five persons);
• 1-Seg support;

Meet the Casio Exilim W63CA, a new 8Mpix cameraphone, or rather a digicam with cell phone functionality. With all those 8Mpix handsets 3.2Mpix and 5Mpix ones will soon become a thing of the past. The W63CA is really nice, but I think Casio could have come up with a better name. Here's what it features:

• 3.1″ OLED display with 480 x 800 pixels;
• 8.1Mpix sensor;
• Wide-angle lens;
• 9-point auto-focus;
• Face detection;
• Anti-shake controls;
• Video recorder (VGA @ 30fps);
• microSD card slot

The device will be available in Japan next month, however don't expect it in the U.

FCC has approved a new Japanese cameraphone form Sharp, the SH-01A. It features an 8Mpix CCD sensor, a 28-mm wide angle lens, Dolby Pro Logic II, and MicroSD slot for storing media. The phone will be available first from NTT DoCoMo in Japan, and sometime later in the U.S.

LG has anounced another 8Mpix cameraphone, the KC780, which doesn't have a nickname yet. It will be available in Europe next month, and will have the following specifications:

• 13.9mm thick;
• 2.4" LCD display;
• 8Mpix AF camera with flash;
• Schneider-Kreuznach optics;
• "Face-enhancing features" ;
• ISO 160

That's right, LG's upcoming KC780 will apparently be the thinnest 8Mpix smartphone yet, beating even the 13.8mm thick Samsung M8800 Pixon. While it is not yet announced, some of its press shots, as well as some nice live photos are already available. Check them out.

Some new live photos of the Samsung M8800 Bresson 8Mpix cameraphone have leaked to the Internet. The phone will be available for about 550 Euros when it's released, and will feature the following:

• Quad-band GSM, tri-band HSDPA;
• Qualcomm MSM6281 chipset;
• Native Samsung OS;
• 3.2″ 240×400px TFT Display;
• 8Mpix camera (3264×2448) with VGA video recording at 30 fps;
• FM Radio with RDS;
• Built-in accelerometer;
• 100MB of user memory;
• microSD card slot

The new LG KC780 is the company's second 8Mpix cameraphone, after the Renoir. They plan to launch it soon, but there's no info on the official launch date and pricing available. However, the phone's features have been unveiled, and are listed below:

• Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE;
• 8Mpix camera with autofocus;
• Red eye reduction;
• Face recognition;
• 30fps video recording;
• 140MB internal memory;
• microSD memory card slot;
• Bluetooth 2.

Here are some new live shots of the upcoming LG KC910, now also known as Renoir. The phone comes with an 8Mpix camera (what, a new trend?) and is rumored to become available sometime next month.

Specs are as following:

• Quad-band GSM;
• UMTS (HSDPA 7.2 Mbps) data;
• 3" WQVGA 240x400 touchscreen display;
• 8Mpix camera with Xenon flash using a Schneider-Kreuznach optics;
• GPS with geo-tagging support;
• Bluetooth 2.

Samsung Bresson is a new 8Mpix cameraphone that has recently been leaked to the web. Also known as the M8800, the handset features a 3.2" touchscreen display with 16M colors, HSDPA support, and aGPS navigation. The launch is expected on September 25th.
