The Motorola ROKR Z6m music phone is now available from Alltel.

This CDMA slider handset supports EV-DO data and features a 65K QVGA display, 2Mpix camera, 3.5mm stereo jack, stereo Bluetooth, integrated GPS receiver, USB interface, and a microSD card slot (up to 2GB).

The price is $129.

Alltel is now offering its subscribers access to thousands of different Wi-Fi networks across the USA from their smartphones and notebooks.

Available data plans include $10 per day, $20 per week or $30 per month.

Customers can also bundle the Wi-Fi service with EV-DO wireless data for $69.

Alltel subscribers will soon be able to get their hands on several new handsets in the nearest future.

And now by order: the first is Palm Treo 755p smartphone, not the best option to choose; next is the Blackberry Pearl 8130, which will launch along with the 755p; and the last smartphone is the one named UTStarcom 6850, probably a re-branded version of the HTC Mogul.

Following Verizon and Sprint, Alltel Wireless announced that it would carry the BlackBerry 8830 World Edition smartphone. So if you're an Alltel subscriber, you might want to get yourself one of these.

Alltel offers a new LBS application, called ‘Where’, for handsets with GPS functionality to provide users with up-to-date route and POI information, as well as real-time info on weather and traffic conditions.

It will be available for $2.99 monthly on five cell phone models at first, including Hue, LG AX8600, Samsung u520, Wafer and Wave.

Alltel Wireless has exclusively launched LG Wave (AX380) cell phone. This sleek handset has curvaceous design with deep colors that fade into black.

The LG Wave features:

The new Alltel Hue cell phone manufactured by Samsung is now available online and from independent retailers across the US. The phone uses Alltel's Celltop technology to help users organize the information stored on the device and supports exchangeable faceplates. In addition, if you purchase an Alltel Hue now, you will also get an Alltel Snap flip-phone for free.

Like T-Mobile, Alltel will also offer two Samsung phones, R200 and R500.

Samsung SCH-R200 is slim entry-level candy bar phone, which features the same design as the R510, but packs fewer features to reduce the price.

Samsung SCH-R500 is 17mm thin clamshell phone with exchangeable covers. This CDMA2000 EV-DO device features 176x220 internal display and small external one, Bluetooth, 1.

The LG VX8600 being a new addition to the Alltel line up is available through Alltel Wireless now.  This slim phone is also available in three colors: Lime Green, Champagne Gold, and Vivid Blue with chrome detailing for every color The device features. 1.3 Megapixel Camera with video, expandable memory slot,  MP3 Player with external controls, Bluetooth®, Speakerphone, Celltop Ready. There are also some personal tolls such as calendar, calculator, alarm clock, stop watch, 32 polyphonic ringtones.

Alltel announced the launch of its version of the LG VX8600 called the AX8600.

The device is available in three colors- Vivid-Blue, Lime-Green and Champagne-Gold. All the phones are available for $50 after rebates and with contract.

LG AX8600 features same specifications as the VX8600 and has the same electrostatic music-control keys on the front cover.
