Officially an exclusive feature of the Motorola DROID, the Google Navigation service has been enabled on the first Android device, the T-Mobile G1. All thanks to XDA development community. Hopefully they'll release a working build for the masses in the near future.

LG to release Snapdragon-powered Android phone in Korea in 2010

LG has announced that they are prepping a Snapdragon-powered Android handset for the Korean market, which should be released sometime in Q2 2010. They said the device will be "more mature" than the GW620 Eve, whatever that means, but apart from that we have no info on its specs, pricing and the possible availability in other markets. Garmin has announced their plans on releasing an Android-based handset in 2010 at an event where the company reported their financial results for the Q3 2009 last week. They didn't reveal any info on the phone's features or pricing, so that's all we know for now. Stay tuned for more details.

Rogers customers looking for a decent but cheap Android handset can get the new LG Eve GW620. The phone comes with a 5Mpix camera, 5-row full QWERTY keyboard, 3" touchscreen display, and offers integration with Facebook and Twitter.

All that for just $49.99 on a 3-year agreement, or $399.99 if you chose the contract-free option.

Continuing the story about the Dell Mini 3iX, the device has been spotted on internal documentation of a Brazilian carrier. The available pictures show the handset itself, as well as its user interface, which to be honest doesn't please the eye.

The said carrier hasn't announced the device yet, neither did the manufacturer.

Dell Mini 3iX shows up at FCC

The new Android powered Dell Mini 3iX has been spotted at the FCC site. The handset is the U.S. variant of the China-bound Mini 3i, which unlike the latter features 3G and Wi-Fi support. While we can't tell when it will be released exactly and on which carrier, it's safe to expect it to be launched on AT&T's network sometime in 2010.

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Android Phone Announced

Sony Ericsson has introduced the new Xperia X10, an Android powered handset, which should be released early next year. It will have a new UI that includes a number of custom applications developed by Sony Ericsson (like Timescape and Mediascape), and has the folowing specifications:

  • Android 1.6 (Donut) OS;
  • 1GHz Snapdragon processor;
  • 4" WVGA 480 x 854 scratch resistant touchscreen;
  • Quad-band GSM/EDGE radios;
  • 3G 900/2100 and 800/850/1900/2100MHz UMTS/HSPA;
