I case you haven't heard, Android users can now sign up for Swype in a beta version. It supports English and Spanish but offers limited features as, according to Swype, some key features required OEM integration. Read the details here.

Motorola announced the availability of their MILESTONE handset in Spain with the latest Android 2.1 OS. The device is available now unlocked for 499 Euro.

A working build of Android 2.1 with Sense UI for the HTC Droid Eris is now available for download courtesy of the folks at xda-developers. They said it's working fine, but we'd be careful anyway since it's not an official build and you're risking to lose your data, or even brick your device.

AT&T's Motorola Backflip has gone on sale as expected, and can be yours for $99.99 after mail-in rebate and a 2-year contract.

T-Mobile will be releasing a tiny firmware update for its first Andriod handset, the G1 on March 15th. The new firmware offers improved "call performance" without "any additional feature enhancements."

An unofficial Android 2.1 ROM for the Samsung Galaxy Spica i5700 has been leaked on the Internet. According to Greaky.com (source of the file), this firmware includes several personalization novelties, DivX support, Google Maps 4.0.0 (not stable), while the pictures reveal that the camera sports Samsung's interface now.

Hopefully they'll rellease the official update as soon as possible.

Reportedly, Rogers will be the first carrier in North America to offer Acer's new Liquid e phone (which is also the first Android 2.1 handset in Canada) when it's out this Spring. Still no indication of a price or exact release date, but Rogers is promising to say more as that approaches.

T-Mobile will be releasing the Mini version of its Pulse handset. Similar to the original, the Pulse Mini is made by China's Huawei and offers Euro HSDPA support, Android 2.1, QVGA display, and a Qualcomm MSM7225 core. Look it up in the UK and Germany when it hits next month. The price in the UK is £99.99 (about $155) contract-free.
