Rumor has it that T-Mobile is set to announce the Google's G1 sometime this month in New York. September 23rd is the most probable date, but neither company has confirmed or denied that. Either way, the waiting game won't be long.

The source of this information is unknown, but according to the Telegraph T-Mobile UK will launch the Google's HTC Dream sometime in November. Well, atleast that's what they say, as there was no official confirmation yet.

These are live pictures of the upcoming Android-based HTC Dream. It was recently approved by the FCC and is apparently bound for T-Mobile.

According to the recent rumors, the HTC Dream (supposedly featured in the yesterday's video) will become available on September 17th from T-Mobile followed by the global release shortly after.

Reported specs are as following:

• 5"x3" touchscreen;
• Slide out QWERTY;
• 3G data support;
• 3Mpixl camera

As they expect, T-Mobile subscribers will be able to get the device for as low as $150, but the general public should be ready to pay up to $400 for it.

Apparently, this is the supposed HTC Dream running an advanced version of Android.

At least it looks like one, judging by the available rumored descriptions.

J. Gold Associates predict that in the near fufure, three to six months from now, Google and Nokia will combine their Android and Symbian platforms "to provide a single open source OS". Although there are no signs that somehow prove the aforementioned statement, the source is positively convinced that will happen very soon.

"A combination of the Android and Symbian efforts would be good for the industry, good for Google and good for Symbian", - say analysts.

There's a new and very simple way to install Android OS on your Nokia N810 tablet. Previous attempts were less successful, but now all you need to do is download just two files and install them on the device. Warranty will be voided, so think twice before installing.

Why do we need the Dream, when other HTC handsets, like Touch Diamond and Touch Pro are perfectly compatible with Google Android OS?

The latest model to get the Android port is the HTC Touch Cruise, also known as the Polaris.

Of course, the system is not so stable and functional as Windows Mobile and still needs to be worked on, but it's a start, and a good sign for those who own a handset capable of running Android.

We don't know what to think... Many sources now indicate that we won't see Google Android based handsets till the fourth quarter. However, originally it was implied that the first phones will be available in 2H 2008, but when exactly was not mentioned. Knowing this, all we can say for sure is that the first Android-based HTC smartphones will be available from T-Mobile sometime this year.

Vice President and General Manager of T-Mobile's Broadband and New Business Division, Joe Sims announced that by the end of the year the carrier will release at least one Android-based phone. He also stated that eventually there will be "more than one" device.

The question is: what handset will be the first? HTC Dream, maybe?
