T-Mobile UK is now offering a Huawei manufactured Pulse smartphone at a pay-as-you-go plan. It will cost you GBP 176 ($292), which is not bad for a pre-paid offer, considering that it features a 3.5″ touchscreen, 3G, WiFi, GPS, 3.2Mpix camera, 2GB of memory, and runs the Android OS. All willing can get it right away.

These specs were recently posted on the Motorola website, but were taken down shortly after. We expect to hear an offical announcement/confirmation by VZW tomorrow, on October 28.
The list includes pretty much everything we wanted to know about the Motorola Droid:
- Android 2.0 (Eclair);
- 3.7" WVGA touch display (480 x 854 pixels);
- full QWERTY keyboard;
- 550MHz processor;
- EVDO Rev.

This limited edition phone will not be available abroad, but nothing stops all interested parties from buying it, especially since it's contract-free. The price is EUR 285 (US $427), 22 of which you can spend right now to pre-order the device.

The second Android-powered handset from Philips has been officially announced, and will soon be available to China Mobile subscribers. The V808, as seen here, has a flush front surface with rounded corners, and will include the following features:
- 3.2” HVGA touch screen;
- GPS;
- 3.2Mpix camera;
- microSD support;
- 1000 mAh battery;
- GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity
There's no info on pricing and availability just yet.

Opera CEO Jon Von Tetzchner has recently confirmed the development of the Opera Mobile browser for the Android platform in an interview given to PC Magazine - “Yes, we are working on an Android version”. Of course, it's not the official announcement, but it's likely to occur in the near future. Just to let you know they're working on it.

Motorola and Orange UK have recently released the Motorola Dext Android smartphone. The new handset features MOTOBLUR UI, and can sync contacts, posts, feeds, messages, e-mails, photos from social services like Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Gmail, Yahoo, your work e-mail and LastFM.
The DEXT is available for free to Orange customers in the UK who choose a 2-year contract with a £34.

You all know the awesomeness that was the HTC Touch HD, and now it will get even better. According to some sources, the sequel to the said handset will be Android-based, and will feature a more powerful 628MHz Qualcomm chip which is just perfect for running resource-hungry Sense UI and HD video on the 3.8" 480 x 800 display. Hopefully this is all true.

LG has officially announced its first Android based handset today, the GW620. It is a sideways slider with a 3" touchscreen, full QWERTY keyboard, a microUSB slot and a 3.5mm headset jack. However, that's about all we can tell about it for now.
Expect the GW620 to be available in the Q4 in selected European markets.
