T-Mobile has released the Android Cupcake 1.5 update for its HTC G1 users. The problem is that if you're using a custom ROM, you won't be able to download the update. Thus be sure to return to the official ROM, if you want to play with the Cupcake.

Today Google has officially announced the the Android 1.5 SDK for developers. The kit will be based on the cupcake branch from the Android project, and will allow devs to get APIs for features such as soft keyboards, home screen widgets, live folders and even speech recognition.
