According to a reliable source, the new upcoming SDK for the iPhone scheduled for February 2008 release will bring Java support to the handset.

This means that Apple iPhone owners will finally be able to use and play Java applications and games on their devices. There is not much info available at the moment, but we know that the phone's processor supports hardware Java acceleration, so, all we can do now is wait for the official release.

According to a person who has already tried the upgrade, the version 1.1.2 will include additional multi-language support and access to The Cloud Wi-Fi spots.

iPhone Launches in Canada on December 7th?

If the ad you see on the picture is true, then we can expect the iPhone to be available in Canada from Rogers Wireless by December 7 despite the difficulties we told you about earlier.

It will cost C$499.99, or about $519 USD after a 3-year contract. Pre-orders will start on November 20.

Apple iPhones is No Longer Available for Cash

In an attempt to prevent the iPhone from further hacking and unlocking Apple decided to stop accepting cash for these handsets.

The only way one can purchase an iPhone today is by signing a 2-year contract with an official carrier, such as AT&T for example.

AT&T pays Apple about $18 per month for each iPhone they sell with a contract, so as you can guess this is much more convenient than if a person buys the device for cash and use it on some other network.

Apple is experiencing some problems with the launching of its iconic iPhone handset in Canada.

First of all, a Toronto-based company Comwave Telecom, which offers a set of VoIP services and products in Canada under the name iPhone, has filed an opposition with the CIPO (Canadian Intellectual Property Office) to Apple's trademark application to distribute the device in the country under its original name.

Great, you say? Not quite.

The main problem here is that it will cost $799 (!), twice as much as in the U.S. How do you like that? Further more, the official carrier to offer the device is the one with bad reputation, Rogers Wireless.
