T-Mobile to Offer iPhone in Germany

T-Mobile will be the official carrier to offer Apple's iPhone in Germany.

The device will feature GSM/EDGE and Wi-Fi connectivity and Apple's iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store.

The iPhone's German debut is scheduled on November 9th, then it will be available in Deutsche Telekom's shops and in T-Mobile's online shop at a price of €399 (VAT included) after a 2-year contract.

Apple iPhone to be Available from O2 UK on November 9th

Apple has finally announced the first European carrier for the iPhone . The O2 UK will officially launch the handset on November 9th for £269 including VAT. The following voice plans are available and will include unlimited data:

  • £35 - 200 mins + 200 SMS
  • £45 - 600 mins + 500 SMS
  • £55 - 1200 mins + 500 SMS

As we expected, no new features were added to the iPhone, and there is still no word on the possible European release of its 3G version, so Britishers will just have to be satisfied with EDGE/Wi-Fi connectivity instead.

Apple iPhone Coming Soon to Europe

Apple is holding a London news conference on Tuesday, where it will supposedly unveil its plans on launching the iPhone in Europe. The most likely European carriers are Spanish Telefonica's O2 UK unit, Deutsche Telekom's T-Mobile and France Telecom's Orange.

So far there aren’t many details about the future conference: Telefonica, France Telecom and Deutsche Telekom have maintained a strict silence about any deal, but we can expect the iPhone to appear in the European market before Christmas.

iPhone got $200 Cheaper!

Apple has dropped the price for its 8GB iPhone by 1/3, and stopped the production of the 4GB model.

In addition, the company has launched the new iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store, allowing customers to buy and download tracks and albums via Wi-Fi connection.

Further more, expect a 3G version of iPhone to appear in November.
