de la Vega, AT&T's CEO, in the coming "months" all of
the company’s smartphones, including BlackBerries and the iPhone,
will be transferred to the AT&T's 3G network.

Yesterday at CTIA
Wireless AT&T has officially announced the upcoming LG Vu.
The
phone is said to become available in May and should coincide with the
launch of the company's mobile TV service.

According to Hank Kafka,
vice president of network architecture for AT&T Mobility, the
company plans to upgrade its entire 3G network to HSPA (7.2Mbps) by
the end of 2008.
AT&T had 255 markets covered by HSDPA in the end
of 2007, and expects to have 350 major metropolitan markets running
HSPA before the beginning of 2009.

AT&T announced the availability of the Motorola Z9, the slider variant of the RAZR2 V9.
The phone comes in a deep burgundy color and features a 2Mpix camera, integrated GPS, microSD slot for additional memory and an MP3 player.
The carrier offers the Moto Z9 for $149.99 after an on-line discount and a 2-year service agreement.

Apparently, the
launch of the anticipated RIM BlackBerry 9000 will be delayed until
July or August, instead of late May as previously rumored.
The device
will be available from AT&T and will feature integrated GPS,
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, 2 or 3.2
megapixel camera, as well as support for GSM and 3G HSDPA networks.

released on Monday, as the carrier has already distributed promo materials in the stores.
