The FCC has approved the recently released HTC Hero. The handset supports 850/1900 MHz 3G bands which makes it compatible with AT&T's network. Sprint is also rumored to pick up the Hero sometime in the near future, but we need to see a CDMA version on the FCC site first.

Boy, those codenames are weird... Samsung came up with three strangely named handsets for AT&T, which will probably be renamed prior to launch.
The first is Samsung Fluxus (pictured), a dual-band HSDPA slider with a non-touchscreen WQVGA display, and a 2Mpix camera. The second phone is called Scotney. It has similar specs as the previous, but features a 220 x 176 QCIF resolution screen.
