According to leaked information, AT&T will be soon releasing several new longed-for handsets, including the LG CU920, Samsung Blackjack 2, Motorola Z9, Sony Ericsson Z750 and K850, and the new red version of the iPhone available in 4GB and 8GB models.

AT&T, the only carrier to offer iPhone in the U.S., will also offer a serious competitor to the Apple's handset, the LG CU920.

The new device looks almost like the iPhone, and has the same specifications, including the touch-only interface.

The only changes are 3G HSDPA support and Firefox Web browser instead of Safari.

AT&T will soon start offering a custom version of the LG Shine.

There is almost no information about the upcoming model at the moment; we only know that it comes in a metal-like finish and is a little redesigned, featuring a circular D-pad for navigation instead of a 3-way scroll.

The phone will be expensive, so hopefully it will support 3G.

Good news from AT&T for uploaders.

The company plans to upgrade their HSDPA network and increase upload speed from 120kbps to the 500-800kbps range. The change will first apply to data cards, and later in 2008 to cell phones.

However, we should remind you that AT&T has only just started catching up with Verizon and Sprint, who have been on this bandwagon for quite a while now.

AT&T's Smart Limits service allowing parents to limit their children’s phone usage has been suspended on Saturday.

The cause is simple: while kids are able to call 911 during restricted hours, 911 operators in their turn won't be able to call back while restrictions are in effect.

Currently AT&T in working on solution to this problem, but there's no dead line yet.

Rumor has it that Negri Electronics plans to release their Tilt 8925 and 8900 Windows Mobile smartphones for AT&T on September 30th and has already started taking pre-orders.

There was no official confirmation on that, so you should be skeptical about it.

Starting today AT&T will be offering the BlackBerry 8820. As far as you know, the device supports quad-band GSM/EDGE networks, and, of course, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g connectivity.

Other features include QWERTY keyboard, push-to-talk, built-in GPS receiver and navigation applications, Bluetooth 2.0, media player, and a microSD memory expansion slot.
