Bell has announced it will be the exclusive carrier to offer the HSPA-enabled Samsung Omnia II in Canada. It has been designated the “Official Mobile Device of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games.”, as Bell will be the official
communications sponsor of the upcoming sports event.

Canadian carrier Bell has lowered the price for its Palm Pre by CAD $50, which means the handset is now available for CAD $149.95 (about $143) on a 3-year contract. Of course, it's not as low as Sprint's $99.99 on 2-years deal, but still is a very welcomed pricecut.

Two new handsets have appeared at LG's Canadian site. Both are scheduled for release on August 7th, and offer some dull specs, which are listed below.

Ok, first is the LGBliss, pictured left. It should be released on August 7th on Bell, and will be available at $79.95 CAD on a 3-year contract. In terms of specs you’ll get:

• Full 3" 240×400 touchscreen;
• 2Mpix camera with video capture capability;
• 4 1/2 hours of talk time

The other handset is the TELUS’ Keybo2.

Bell's Palm Pre release date was a mistery up until now, but they've finally decided to announce it. The phone will be available starting August 27 for CAD $199.95 (about $187) on a 3-year deal, and up to $599.95 with a minimum 500MB / month data plan and no contract. Bell stores are now accepting preorders.

Right after Verizon, Bell will be the next carrier to offer the on the BlackBerry Tour 9630 in North America. It should be available on July 17th at the following prices:

• $249.99 with a 3 year contract (promo)
• $449.99 with a 3 year contract
• $699.95 outright

Bell Mobility announced that they will be offering the upcoming Palm Pre in Canada in the second half of 2009. The carrier has exclusive rights to sell the handset in the country, so if you're, let's say, a Rogers customer, you're out of luck. :(

BlackBerry 9530 users on Bell have received an exclusive firmware update for their handsets. Why exclusive? The latest OS 4.7.0.122 is not available to other carriers, and can't be installed by deleting the vendor.xml file. So those who are not on Bell will have to wait.
