Following Telus, Canadian Bell is getting ready for the upcoming launch of its own version of the HTC's CDMA Touch Diamond. The device will most likely be released on October 15th with a price tag of $149.99 CAD on a 2-year contract with a $45 minimum monthly plan, or $449.99 sans contract.

According to some sources, Bell and Telus are ready to launch their GSM networks, and will start ofering transition plans in the near future to take up a better position against their main rival Rogers and to get cooler handsets. It is not known, though, whether they will offer HSPA connectivity or move strait to UMTS LTE.

Another cool handset making its way to Canada is the Samsung Instinct. Bell Mobility will be the lucky carrier to offer the device this time (tough luck, Telus), and will sell it for $149.95 on a 3-year contract or $449.95 w/o commitment. Features remain the same as on the U.S. variant.

Bell came up with an interesting way to promote a rather uninteresting handset, the Samsung m530 music flip in our case. The phone will bear Canadian Olympic Team branding, and will be available next month for $99.95 CAD (about $99) on a 3-year plan or $299.95 CAD (about $298) w/o contract.

Bell Canada is ready to release two cool cell phones in the near future.
- The first is the Samsung Ace, a simple but good looking handset, which features dual-band GSM and EV-DO connectivity, Windows Mobile 6 Standard OS, 1.3Mpix camera, and a microSD slot. It should be available on May 12 for an unknown price.
- The second phone is the LG Vantage, a stylish and touchscreen slider with a 2Mpix camera, Bluetooth, and a microSD slot supporting up to 4GB of additional storage.

The M300 is slimmer, lighter and prettier than A640 and features two internal and external screens, a VGA digicam, and standard application set, including alarm clock, voice memos, calculator, tasks, and scheduler.

Canadian carrier Bell unveiled today its new unlimited data plan for PC data card users. It replaces the old 1GB plan ($100) and offers unlimited traffic for $75 a month. Unfortunately, there is no such plan for mobile phones, but let's hope this is just a matter of time, and maybe other Canadian operators will join the competition to be the first to offer it.
