T-Mobile announced it will be releasing an OS 4.5 update for the BlackBerry Pearl 8120 this Friday. Well, it certainly took them quite a while to release it... Anyway, if you happen to own a Pearl 8120, here's what you'll get with the update:

New Features:

• Music/video streaming (e.g. YouTube);
• Free/busy calendar lookup;
• Remote search for e-mails on server;
• Attachment download and document editing;
• Wireless software upgrades;
• myFaves 1.

Telus Mobility has formally announced the launch of the BlackBerry 8230 Pearl Flip for its customers in Canada. The phone will be available in pink and black colors at the following prices:

• 3-year contract: $49.99;
• 2-year contract: $299.99;
• 1-year contract: $399.99;
• Contract-free: $449.99

This time it's a little bit different. The latest leaked OS 4.7.0.114 update for the BlackBerry Storm 9530 apparently includes a new copy / paste method that was talked about in the Web recently. In rest, nothing is clear about this build either, so install it at your own risk.

The BlackBerry Curve 8330 handset is now available through MetroPCS on 2 unlimited rate plans: the $50 personal rate - includes unlimited talk, text, web browsing, MMS and BlackBerry email access via the BlackBerry Internet Service, and the $60 business rate - which offers the same features + BlackBerry Enterprise Server support.

The phone will be available at MetroPCS authorized dealers and at all Best Buy stores starting March 9th.

Speaking of firmware updates, the BlackBerry Curve 8900 wasn't left aside either today. The new OS 4.6.1.174 is now available for download. As usual, we don't know what changes over the previous versions it includes. Be careful when installing such builds.

Yet another leaked BlackBerry firmware? Yup, this time it's unofficial OS 4.6.0.247 for the BlackBerry Bold. As always, install it at your own risk.

In case you didn't know, RIM has recently announced the release of the updated MySpace app for BlackBerry users. The latest v1.5 build features four major enhancements, which we think should have been there in the first place. Here they are:

• Friend Updates: Users can now view their MySpace Friend Updates from within the application and click on a thumbnail of a photo in the Friend Updates to be taken to a full screen version;
• Enhanced updates and messaging: Instantaneous mobile notifications and messaging (no lag time between receiving a message online and on mobile).

Some actual pictures of the BlackBerry “Niagara” 9630 have finally surfaced today. From what we've seen so far, it looks like it is a BlackBerry Bold / Curve 8900 hybrid with unknown specs. We certainly hope for more pictures to be released in the nearest future.

If you're ready to become a T-Mobile customer, than there's a great deal for you available on the Amazon. Folks who sign up with T-Mobile will be able to purchase the BlackBerry Curve 8900 handset for just $50 (after rebates). Sounds great to me.

The appearance of the BlackBerry 8230 Pearl Flip smartphone on the Telus' website is definitely a good sign for its waiters. The phone is listed as "Coming Soon", but doesn't offer any pricing details. Expected prices are $50 on a 3-year contract, or $449 outright.
