Vodafone and RIM have recently introduced the new BlackBerry Curve 8310 smartphone in Germany. It is a powerful multifunctional GSM handset packed with a multitude of useful features. Some of them include a full QWERTY keyboard, built-in 2Mpix camera, GPS functionality, push email support, audio and video playback, and much more. See the detailed spec list below.

Research In Motion (RIM) presents its latest BlackBerry 8820 smartphone, the first BlackBerry combining EDGE/GPRS/GSM and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g networks in a single device, allowing users to switch between them.

The device receives the thinnest RIM smartphone design and comes equipped with a full QWERTY keyboard, large 320x240 display, and trackball navigation system.

The long-awaited Wi-Fi enabled BlackBerry phone will soon become available as FCC has recently approved such a device.

T-Mobile and AT&T are the potential carriers to offer this GSM handset in the US.

The new BlackBerry 8820 uses Wi-Fi connectivity for accessing the web. It wasn't officially announced, so there is very little info about it. We know that 8820 doesn't differ much from 8800, and comes with a landscape display and QWERTY keyboard. The camera is lacking, not sure about the memory slot.

The first carrier to offer the device is also unknown.

The BlackBerry 8830 World Edition smartphone is now available on the Verizon Network. The device is the first on the network to use the new "always-on, always connected" Global BlackBerry service, allowing its usage in most parts of the world.

Research In Motion will soon start selling BlackBerries with both cellular and Wi-Fi capabilities.

The exact date of the release is unknown. All we now is that these devices should appear sometime in the second half of this year, according to RIM co-CEO’s words.

Although there was no official announcement, RIM’s Red Blackberry Pearl handset is now available at Rodgers Wireless in Canada.

It costs $249 with a 3 year contract.

Verizon Wireless recently presented the new BlackBerry 8830 World Edition CDMA/GSM smartphone and its new Global BlackBerry service. Global BlackBerry provides wireless access to email and Web from the U.S., Canada and more than 60 countries worldwide. International voice calls are supported in more than 150 countries.The service also allows Verizon customers to access Global Help Desk for 24/7 customer support.

T-Mobile presents the new BlackBerry 8800 handset with a full QWERTY keyboard.The BlackBerry 8800 operates on T-Mobile's EDGE network. It supports up to 10 work and personal email accounts (including the most popular ISP email accounts). The phone features a built-in multimedia player, full HTML web browser, Bluetooth 2.0 support for hands-free use, a microSD expandable memory slot for storage, and an integrated GPS.

There were some images of Verizon's BlackBerry 8830 posted on Howard Forums. Unfortunately, there is very little info on the device yet. 

But it is known that it supports both CDMA in the U.S. and GSM in Australia and other countries.
