Verizon has released the BlackBerry Storm 2. The device runs the latest BlackBerry OS 5, and is available for $179.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate with a new 2-year contract. OS 5.0 for the original Storm is already available.

The latest version (3.2) of Google Maps for Mobile for BlackBerry offer a major new feature -- the ability to view distinct layers.
