As expected, the CDMA version of the HTC Touch Diamond smartphone passed the FCC. So far it was announced only by Canadian Telus, but with the FCC's approval on their hands nothing prevents other CDMA carriers in the U.S. from getting it.

Nokia has unveiled two new CDMA phones bound for the Chinese market. The U.S. release is not likely to happen, but who knows...

Specifications for the Nokia 3608:

• Band: CDMA 800/1900MHz;
• Battery Life: Up to 11 days standby / Up to 3.5 hours talk time;
• Main Display: 2.0" , 176x220, 262k colors;

FCC has unveiled the new HTC NEON400. It has a Touch Dual form-factor, i.e. the original Touch with a slider keyboard, and apparently supports CDMA 850 / 1900 bands. This means it could very well be launched on Sprint, Verizon, and Alltel networks - we'll just have to wait before it is officially announced by someone other than FCC.

Good news for Telus customers. The carrier will soon be bringing the CDMA version of the HTC Touch Diamond to Canada. The handset will cost $149.99 CAD with a 3-year contract and one of the data plans randing from $15 to $30.

Sprint, now it's your turn.

BGR have got their hands on the Motorola Napolean Q9. It is a new world phone from Verizon Vireless supporting both quad-and GSM and CDMA networks. To prove that, they've inserted an AT&T SIM-card, and it worked.
Features are as following:

• CDMA EV-DO Rev.

Judging by the picture leaked from the PPCGeeks forum, apparently there's a CDMA version of the HTC Touch Diamond coming soon to Sprint. Specifications remain the same with the GSM variant, only the interface is slightly different.

No word on pricing and availability yet, so stay tuned...

The CDMA version of the anticipated HTC Touch Pro WM-based slider has just passed the FCC. It bears the “RAPH800” model number and supports 850MHz/1900MHz CDMA and EVDO bands. Well, it's good news for Sprint and Verizon customers, let's just hope the device launches in time.

The long-awaited LG Dare VX9700 is now listed on Verizon's InfoCenter intranet. The on-line sales will begin on June 26th, and on July 3rd the phone will appear in stores. It will be selling for $199 after $50 rebate on a 2-year agreement.

Sprint subscribers can now get their hands on the new Samsung Instinct. Originally we thought it would cost $200, but to be make a good competition to the 3G iPhone the CDMA carrier had to cut the price. Now the Instinct costs $129.99 with a 2-year agreement after a $100 mail-in rebate.

We simply love such kind of devices. The new handset form Coolpad that was announced at CommunicAsia features two SIM-card slots and supports both GSM and CDMA bands. Cool! Moreover, you can easily swich between them on the fly. There are several models of it available with prices ranging from $100 to $1000 depending on the model, but unfortunately you'll have to go to Indonesia, China or Africa to get one.
