U.S. Cellular has officially launched the HTC Touch Pro smartphone on its network. The handset is available for $249.95 on a two-year contract and mail-in rebate, and offers the following features:

U.S. Cellular has released the LG Banter yesterday. It is a candybar phone equipped with a sideways sliding QWERTY keyboard, as well as a 1.3Mpix camera, Bluetooth connectivity, integrated audio playback, GPS navigation and several changeable faceplates. The LG Banter is now available for just $49.95 on a 2-year contract.

Good news for U.S. Cellular customers: the carrier has released the LG Banter, a couple of weeks later then Alltel. The Banter is identical to the Rumor 2 that Sprint offers and is a low-end messaging phone with 4-row side-sliding QWERTY and numeric keypad and a 2” front QVGA screen. It is available now for $50 after a 2-year contract and $50 mail-in rebate.

The LG UX280 Wine clamshell that was launched back in January has been released today on U.S. Cellular. It is an affordable CDMA phone with an internal QVGA (240 x 320) 262k color LCD display and some low-end features, available now from U.S. Cellular for $39.99 with a new 2-year contract, after a $50 mail-in rebate.

The stylish LG Wine clamshell is now available from U.S. Cellular. It's definitely not an advanced handset, though it's good enough for those who need a simple yet good-looking phone. It now retails for $30 after a contract and mail-in rebate.

Samsung has introduced its new SCH-r470 TwoStep flip phone bound for US Cellular. It is a music-centric handset equipped with easy-to-use music controls, stereo speakers, and external microSD card supporting up to 8GB, and stereo Bluetooth, providing great music experience for an affordable price.

It will be available in Burnt Orange, Red and Purple colors, and will feature the following:

Cellular South has started selling the HTC Touch Diamond for $199.99 with a 2-year contract. Those willing to buy an unlocked phone can get it for $449.99. The version of the Touch Diamond offered is the one with the sleeker back panel instead of the original angular back cover.

Cellular One announced the launch of mid-level music phone - Sony Ericsson W580. As you probably know, the W580 is one of the newest Sony Ericsson Walkman slider phones. The W580 is available in two color versions: white-orange and titanium-blue.
