Last week at CES 2008 Motorola introduced its new S9-HD Bluetooth headphones, an upgraded version of the S9 model.

The S9-HD features SRS WOW HD technology delivering 3D surround sound and high-definition audio. The ear buds became more comfortable and noticeably reduce background noise.

Innovative, new mobile devices and accessories from Motorola were among the most honored at the 2008 International Consumer Electronics Show. ROKR E8 received four prestigious awards including the CNET People’s Voice Award, while the MOTOROKR S9 and Motorola T815 each took top honors in the 2008 CES Best of Innovations Design and Engineering Award and Bluetooth Special Interest Group Award, respectively.

A funny looking phone was spotted at CES recently.

This is UTStarcom HSM 180, a phone that looks more like a traffic light as it has two circular keypads, a little similar to those on the Nokia 3600 and 3650, and a round display.

HSM 180 features include support for GSM/GPRS/EDGE networks and MP3 playback.

Yesterday at CES Motorola announced that its new MOTORAZR2 V8 Luxury Edition phone is available for pre-order at MOTO STORE for $679.99, and shipments will start on January 31st.

The package will also include the H680 Bluetooth headset.

However, if you're a Sprint or Verizon customer, find yourself another luxury handset, as V8 is a GSM phone.

LG AX565 and LG Vu are two unannounced phone models that were spotted today at CES at the LG booth.

The first one is an Alltel-branded music-centric clamshell that features external touch pad music controls, FM transmitter, stereo Bluetooth, a 1.3Mpix camera and a microSD slot supporting up to 4GB of additional storage.

Verizon announced their new SMT5800 aka HTC S720 smartphone at CES today, which actually wasn't a surprise as we knew it was coming. Here's what the device offers:

• Windows Mobile 6 Standard OS;
• Numeric keypad and full slide-out QWERTY keyboard;
• 2Mpix camera with video capture;
• Bluetooth 2.
