It looks like 2007 turned out to be a bad year for Palm.

Palm is one of the leading smartphone manufacturers, nevertheless the company bore losses as competition in this sector was too rough in the past 12 months and their marketing and product promotion campaigns weren't successful.

Today Palm announced they would soon present their financial report, and that they've delayed the launch of a new handset, which was to be released before Christmas.

AT&T and Samsung Announced SGH-i617 Smartphone

Samsung and AT&T have announced the upcoming SGH-i617 Blackjack II.

The phone should be available in the second half of December, just in time for Christmas. The features of the upgraded version of Blackjack include more internal memory, 2Mpix camera, Bluetooth, integrated GPS receiver, AT&T video share service, and RSS reader.

Apple iPhone Coming Soon to Europe

Apple is holding a London news conference on Tuesday, where it will supposedly unveil its plans on launching the iPhone in Europe. The most likely European carriers are Spanish Telefonica's O2 UK unit, Deutsche Telekom's T-Mobile and France Telecom's Orange.

So far there aren’t many details about the future conference: Telefonica, France Telecom and Deutsche Telekom have maintained a strict silence about any deal, but we can expect the iPhone to appear in the European market before Christmas.
