The Pantech C3 has been launched by Cingular. This one is a minor update to the C300 that was launched last Spring. The C3 has the same small size of the C300 and as Pantech says still qualifies as the "smallest camera flip phone".
The Pantech C3 includes the following features:
- VGA camera with flash
- Changeable color faceplates
- MP3 ringtones
- Small size, just 2.

Cingular announced the BlackBerry Pearl - the first BlackBerry to sport a camera and is also the first to use a trackball instead of scroll wheel. The Pearl contains all of the email features BlackBerry is famous for, and is designed for consumers instead of business users.

- Push-to-talk (new to Cingular)
- TeleNav GPS Navigator (new to Cingular, Bluetooth GPS required)

It is the first time when Cingular offers a relatively low-end handset with 3G connectivity, as before Cingular has kept 3G for more expensive handsets. The CU400 is compatible with Cingular Video and MobiTV.

It is a 3G phone, featuring 850/1900 UMTS for the States and quad-band GSM, capable of World Roaming. The phone has 176x220 pixels internal color display and monochrome external one, and VGA camera for QVGA videos. LG CU400 features Push-to-Talk and Bluetooth v1.
