LG and Verizon Wireless have recently announced the new LG VX9100 enV2 communicator.

Similar to the Samsung Alias this phone opens along the side to reveal a QWERTY keyboard and large internal display. Just to name a few features, the LG VX9100 offers:

• 2Mpix camera;
• microSD card slot;
• Verizon's VZ Navigator service;
• Verizon's Get It Now service;
• Bluetooth 2.

Just to let you know, the upcoming GSmart MS808 communicator from Gigabyte is expected to launch in Q3 2008. Here are some of its main specifications:

• Support for HSDPA, WCDMA 2100, EDGE and GSM (850/900/1800/1900) networks;
• 2.8" VGA touchscreen;
• Marvell PXA310 624MHz CPU;
• DVB-T, DVB-H, T-DMB, DAB support;
• 3Mpix AF camera;
• Secondary VGA camera for video conversations.

 

It looks like ASUS intends to become a major Pocket PC and smartphone maker. Recently at CeBIT the company showcased four of its new handsets, one of which is the touchscreen communicator P560.

ASUS P560 specifications:

• Support for GSM (quad-band)/GPRS/UMTS/HSDPA networks;
• Windows Mobile 6.

The new GSM communicator HTC P3470, also known as Pharos is the successor to the old P3300 model, which offers updated features at the same cost.

It will be available in early/mid May at a price of $550-600. The only downside is the lack of FM radio and, especially, Wi-Fi connectivity, which is a deal breaker for some people.

RoverPC C6 is a new communicator phone, which supports GSM/GPRS networks, and runs on Windows mobile 6 OS with 300MHz Samsung 2442B CPU.

As it is WM6-based it features several typical applications, including several software applications Microsoft Office Excel Mobile, Microsoft Office Outlook Mobile, Microsoft Office Word Mobile, Internet Explorer Mobile, Windows live, Live messenger and Microsoft Office PowerPoint Mobile.
