Cricket has recently unveiled an addition to its lineup of AWS 3G phones, the LG HELiX. This clamshell phone has a large keypad, adjustable fonts, a 1.3Mpix camera, speakerphone and Bluetooth. The LG's Voice Clarity technology improves call quality by adjusting the volume of the headset depending on the level of background noise.

The HELiX will be available for $140 in pink or silver.

The new Cricket TXTM8 looks like an ideal low-end handset for messaging and social networking. It comes with the full slide-down QWERTY keyboard for easy messaging, as well as a traditional numeric keypad. Other features include:

Cricket has recently released the new Samsung r460 MyShot II. It is a low-end clamshell with a 1.3Mpix camera, Bluetooth, messaging, web and music player, and microSD slot (up to 8GB). It supports tri-band CMDA radios, including Cricket's AWS 1700MHz band, but the data speeds are limited to 1x.

The price is $140.

Cricket has added the Motorola Evoke QA4 to its phone collection. This is the company's first full touchscreen handset, and it will be available shortly on mycricket.com and in Cricket retail locations across the country.

Motorola Evoke QA4, previously available at Alltel, is now up for pre-order at Cricket Wireless. The phone goes for $279.99 without contract, which seems to be a good deal. Features include tri-band GSM support, touchscreen display, a 2Mpix camera, and stereo Bluetooth.

Motorola has officially announced its QA4 Evoke, which will be coming soon to your CDMA carrier. Cricket will be offering the handset in the U.S. starting Q2 2009.

Cricket is now offering the Nokia 3606. The 3606 is one of the first phones from Nokia to support the AWS band, and also includes stereo Bluetooth, a 1.3Mpix camera with LED flash, a microSD card slot for up to 8GBs, a microUSB port for charging and data transfer, as well as some dedicated music keys.

The phone is available now at most Cricket retail locations for $180.

Yesterday Samsung and Cricket showcased their new creation - a gigantic working Messager cell phone, made of wood, plastic and lights. There's no doubt it's a good publicity for both companies, not to mention this beast has entered the Guinness Book of World Records. Hm, I wonder what battery it uses...

Cricket has added a new phone to its candybar line-up. The new Samsung SCH-r211 is rather small, and qute low-end, sporting a speakerphone, web access, messaging, game and ringtone downloads, and will be available for just $90.

So if you're on Cricket and are looking for a basic cell phone, the R211 migth just be what you need.

Cricket has also unveiled the new Kyocera S1300 for its CDMA network in the recently launched Chicago metropolitan area. The S1300 is a slim low-end candybar phone with basic features. Just like the A100, it will be available for $90 at Chicago-area retailers, and will soon be released in Cricket markets nationwide.
