Cricket mobile has launched its A100 phone in Chicago today. The device supports CDMA over Cricket's AWS spectrum, and offers features such as speech recognition for handsfree dialing, a 2.5mm headset jack, a mini USB charging port, vibrate and speakerphone. The price is $90 w/o contract.

The new Motorola VE465 clamshell has been spotted at FCC site today, coming in two versions: dual-band and tri-band CDMA, the latter of which includes 1700MHz AWS spectrum, supported by Cricket or MetroPCS. Judging by the the photo, the phone has dual displays, external music keys, external speakerphone, Bluetooth, and a camera (Mpix unknown).

Neither Cricket, MetroPCS, nor Motorola have announced this handset yet.

Motorola's VE240 music-centric cell phone will soon be arriving to Cricket and to Metro PCS. According to the source, the phone will be available from Cricket Communications in the Tulsa market tomorrow, and all Cricket Communications and MetroPCS markets in a couple of weeks.

Some of the features include:

• MicroSD slot (up to 4GB);

According to Motorola, the company's new VE240 cell phone will be released for Cricket Communications and Metro PCS subscribers tarting tomorrow. The price wasn't announced though....
