Continuing the story about the Dell Mini 3iX, the device has been spotted on internal documentation of a Brazilian carrier. The available pictures show the handset itself, as well as its user interface, which to be honest doesn't please the eye.

The said carrier hasn't announced the device yet, neither did the manufacturer.

The new Android powered Dell Mini 3iX has been spotted at the FCC site. The handset is the U.S. variant of the China-bound Mini 3i, which unlike the latter features 3G and Wi-Fi support. While we can't tell when it will be released exactly and on which carrier, it's safe to expect it to be launched on AT&T's network sometime in 2010.

The much rumored Dell Mini 3i phone has has landed on China Mobile's network. It's a 2G candibar handset positioned as a part of the carrier's new Application Platform that offers music, video, and app downloads to mobile phones from Nokia, Samsung, LG, and Dell. The device also lacks WiFi, but does come with a decent set of other features:

• 3.5" 360 x 640 capacitive touchscreen;
• Android-based Open Mobile System (OMS);
• 3Mpix camera;
• microSD slot;
• Bluetooth;
• 950mAh battery

Curently there's no infor on whether it will be released anywhere else.

Some new spy shots of the upcoming Dell Mini 3i smartphone have been spotted recently. The first images we've seen back in June look similar to these, so we guess they were real deal. The new ones show off the phone's customized Android interface to be used on China Mobile.

And these specs were posted at the BGR site:

According to BGR, this is one of the Android smartphones from Dell that will be launched later this year. Yes, there will be several handsets of both 2G and 3G classes. Unfortunately, we can't give you the name of the device on the pic just yet, but stay tuned for more details.

The Nokia E63 may lack such important features like 3G support and GPS, but it doesn't matter that much when you consider Dell's offering. The said retailer is selling the handset for just $198.39 with free shipping. Isn't that a killer deal?

According to Shaw Wu, a Research Analyst from Kaufman Brothers, Dell will be releasing a new smartphone later this year. Dell already has a PDA line-up called Axim, and has apparently been working on its first smartphone for 2 years already, not to mention that some time ago they also hired a former Motorola executive to head their consumer division.
