Of course, the 8 incher makes a number of sacrifices to keep the price bar so low, most notably settling for a modest 1 gig of RAM and far from impressive Intel Atom Z3735G Bay Trail processor.Available with a stylus and protective folio bundled for $229.99, the Venue 8 Pro 3000 isn’t as professional-friendly as the name suggests.

In less than a month, it’ll ship to Intel Developer Forum participants and spectators, who, get this, secured early access to the innovative piece of hardware for no costs whatsoever.It seems a good guess late November will also see the 3D tech-boasting Venue 8 roll out to the average buyer and Android enthusiast. Only you’ll probably be asked to cough up as much as $499 for a copy.

Dell used Intel’s developer conference in San Francisco to show the world it can make a great tablet, after all.The newly unveiled Dell Venue 8 7840 obviously boasts an Intel-made chip (Atom Z3580 quad-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz) and a 6.4mm body.An OLED screen has an 8.4-inch diagonal and can “cope” with 2560 x 1600 pixels.Chances are we’ll see it hitting the stores just in time for the upcoming Christmas season.

Dell Venue 7 and Venue 8 tablets to come with Intelís new chips

Dell is refreshing its Venue Android tablets by dumping ARM-based for faster Intel-made chips.The Venue 7 has dual-core 1.6GHz Atom Z3460 chip, while its bigger brother sports dual-core Atom Z3480 clocked at 2.1GHz.The smaller device has a 1280×800 pixels display whereas the Venue 8 tops at 1920×1200 pixels. Both models feature Waves MAXXAudio Pro which should deliver “great sound quality,” as well as 1GB of RAM, dual cameras (5-megapixel main camera) and 16GB of expandable storage.

Yesterday Dell unveiled the world's first Baidu Yi-powered smartphone dubbed Streak Pro D43.This dual-core 1.5GHz, quadband HSPA phone focuses on features and services tailored for Chinese users, including some seemingly basic Mandarin voice control contacts synchronization, Baidu Chinese input, Yi's own app store and 100GB of free cloud storage that supports multimedia upload and secure file sharing.

Dell Streak Pro hitting FCC

It turns out that an Android handset dubbed the Dell Streak Pro 101DL, just showed up in the FCC database with a V04B moniker and 1,700 MHz WCDMA radio.The phone carries some decent specs which include:

  •     4.3-inch AMOLED 960 x 540 display
  •     Corning glass (presumably Gorilla Glass)
  •     Dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm MSM8260
  •     8GB of ROM and microSD expansion

There’s no real announcment as to when this Streak Pro 101DL will release, but there’s a chance we could see the launch of this phone in China as soon as tomorrow, with an unsubsidized price tag of $475.

Microsoft has finally rolled out the Windows Phone Mango (7.5) update to Dell Venue Pro.This update is expected to hit Dell Venue Pro owners on AT&T’s network.However if you feel like the Mango experience might not be as great as it would be on your old Windows Phone device, newer Windows Phone devices such as the Nokia Lumia 800 or Nokia Lumia 710 might be worth checking out.

Dell Streak 5 is Pantech's conveniently named Vega No.5 (or IM-T100K), a 5-inch Android 2.3.3 smartphone powered by Qualcomm's brawny dual-core 1.5GHz MSM8660 processor.

The device also features 800 x 480 LCD, 8 megapixel 1080p camera, front-facing camera, 1GB DDR2 RAM, 16GB of memory, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, and 14.4Mbps HSPA+ connectivity.

Dell Venue Pro hitting AT&T

AT&T has officially announced that Dell Venue Pro will be arriving on its network.

It is a Windows Phone 7 device that packs a portrait sliding QWERTY keyboard, and features a 1GHz processor, 5megapixel camera, a 4.1″ WVGA AMOLED display, WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS.

The phone costs $99.99 (with a 2-year contract on AT&T).
