Verizon subscribers can now get almost any smartphone offered by VZW (except Samsung Saga) for just $99 on a 2-year contract. That includes both HTC's Touch Pro and Touch Diamond. What does it mean? That Touch Pro 2 and Touch Diamond 2 are on their way, I guess.
A new ROM upgrade v1.40.707.1 is now available at HTC support site for HTC Touch Diamond2 users in Asia. The most notable change is the phone's updated radio, but we can't tel if it will improve reception of battery life. HTC Touch Diamond2 will be released this month in Taiwan. It will cost NT$21,900 (US$648.93) and will come with an included 8GB memory card. The UK version is due to launch next week, and hopefully we'll also see the U.S. variant in April.
