A new ROM upgrade v1.40.707.1 is now available at HTC support site for HTC Touch Diamond2 users in Asia. The most notable change is the phone's updated radio, but we can't tel if it will improve reception of battery life. O2 UK has announced that it's started offering the HTC Touch Diamond2 for free for all those willing to tie themselves to a £30 monthly 2-year contract, along with 9 months half price line rental (or £50 instant cash back).

HTC has issued two hotfixes for its Touch Diamond smartphone, which should should remove a couple of annoying bugs related to audio disfunctions, icluding music playback skipping, and problems in Sounds and Notifications settings. Check out the hotfixes here:

The new HTC's Touch Diamond2 has been released in Europe, and its unboxing videos have started popping up like mushrooms after the rain. Here's one of them. Enjoy.

HTC Touch Diamond2 will be released this month in Taiwan. It will cost NT$21,900 (US$648.93) and will come with an included 8GB memory card. The UK version is due to launch next week, and hopefully we'll also see the U.S. variant in April.

All of the previous rumors were true - HTC's already-dated Touch Diamond will be hitting Verizon Wireless tomorrow, April 10th, at a price of $299.99 on contract after $70 mail-in rebate. Is it just us, or is the price tag too high?

According to BGR, Verizon is ready to launch its custom version of the HTC Touch Diamond for all B2B, web and telesales customers. The handset will be available on VZW starting April 10 for $199.99 on a 2-year contract after mail-in rebates, or for $469.99 w/o commitments.

According to Expansys, all willing will be able to buy the anticipated HTC Touch Diamond2 in the UK on April 15 for £424.99. And considering the fact that HTC usually launches its products simultaneously across Europe and Asia, we believe that UK residents won't be the only lucky ones to get their hands on the said handset that day.

If you have the original Touch Diamond, then you should know that some good guys have managed to rip all the new applications from the ROM of the upcoming Touch Diamond 2 and made them available for download. Here's what the ROM included:
