Verizon Wireless announced that it plans to release the new RIM BlackBerry Curve 8330 smartphone in May.

The handset will cost $270 after a $50 mail-in rebate and 2-year contract.

• 2Mpix camera;
• Media player;
• Stereo Bluetooth audio;

Verizon started offering a new 50MB EV-DO data plan for $39.99 a month to its subscribers.

While it’s quite expensive and limited, especially in comparison with Cricket's plan, those who don't use traffic hungry services like YouTube will probably find it convenient.
