President of HTC America Jason Mackenzie announced that HTC will launch Android 4.3 update for Sprint’s EVO 4G LTE by the end of this year,Though we don’t have all the details yet, but we do know Sense 5 will come included as part of the deal.Unfortunately, the exact date is still a mystery but that’s kinda expected since it’s not just up to HTC to decide when will EVO 4G LTE get the update — Sprint on its end wants to be sure that the new software doesn’t mess up the user experience and may decide to test everything out before opening the floodgates.

Sprintís HTC EVO 4G LTE receives Jelly Bean update

The highly anticipated Jelly Bean update is finally available for Sprint's HTC EVO 4G LTE.You have to manually make the phone check for updates by going to “Settings” -> “System updates” -> “HTC software update” and finally tapping the “Check Now” button.The carrier will start sending push notifications to the users starting January 3rd.

Sprint's HTC EVO 4G LTE zips again into the FCC

HTC's EVO 4G LTE swung down on a rope straight into the FCC's cold and dark underground bunker. Given that the device is exclusive to Sprint, it's no surprise to see that it'll slurp down LTE from the network's Band 25.It supports CDMA 2000, 802.11 a/b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth radios. Now that the Government's given its blessing, everything's on track for that pre-sale to begin on May 7th.

With the help of the root-only SetCPU app for the HTC EVO 4G, the handset's processor was successfully overclocked to 1.2+GHz, which resulted in a linpack improvement of over 25% with no impact on stability. Now all we need is a 3,000mAh battery. Check out the video below:
