Teg W3000, the Nexus One clone

We have the name, specs and new photos of the Nexus One clone we mentioned recently. The device is called the Teg W3000, and is probably one of the better rip-off out there. Just look at what it has to offer:

  • Quad-band GSM;
  • Accelerometer;
  • Dual 2Mpix cameras;
  • Wi-Fi;
  • Bluetooth;
  • FM and analog TV tuners;

Nexus One clone with iPhone-like OS

Nexus One clone with iPhone-like OS

It's time for another Chinese fake. This unnamed phone tries very hard to look like the Nexus One, while running an OS somewhat similar to the iPhone OS, at least judging by the home screen. Of cource, at an unsubsidized price of 550 yuan (about $80) don't expect anything more than basic cell phone functionality. Noticeable highlights include alarge touchscreen and a trackball for navigation. More info here.

Fake Centro-esque OQO G900 Smartphone

Fake Centro-esque OQO G900 Smartphone

This one is probably Chinese... Clearly a rip off device, this handset steals the branding from OQO (manufacturer is not OQO, according to UMPC Portal), while at the same time imitates the design of some of the Palm’s popular smartphones. But the main thing is that the OQO G900 runs Windows Mobile 6.1. How they managed to get a license from Microsoft is a mistery, but it wouldn't be surprised if it turns out to be a modified version, taken from another handset.

A Perfect Clone of HTC Touch Dual

Wow, great copy! I think this time Chinese have managed to create a perfect clone of a handset. This time it's HTC Touch Dual, and damn it looks so real. Anyway, just for the sake of propriety they put an "HY" sign on the back to let everyone know the device is fake.

  • Dual-band (900/1800MHz) GSM;
  • 2.6" 16M color QVGA touchscreen;
  • 1.3Mpix camera;<

Chinese 8GB Nokia N95's in the UK

Chinese 8GB Nokia N95's in the UK

Attention! The first wave of fake Chinese 8GB Nokia N95 smartphones has entered the UK market.

Everything, including the package is counterfeited, and costs just £150. The casual eye probably won't notice the difference between the original and fake handset, and that's disturbing...

We would advice you not to pay attention to any unrealistic offers, that is if you don’t want to buy a toy instead of a phone.

Fake Chinese HTC TyTN II

Fake Chinese HTC TyTN II

Chinese have cloned yet another device. This time it’s HTC TyTN II. As you can see the fonts and icons on the screen here are wrong, but generally this is a quality fake, as the phone itself looks almost the same. Moreover, it has two SIM slots and runs Windows Mobile.

Can you beat that? :) Impressive!
