The FCC has approved the new Amoi INQ1, a phone designed for those who love social networking. It integrates last.fm, Skype and Windows Live Messenger, and comes with a 2.2" 262k color QVGA display, HSDPA 3.6 Mbps and a 3.2Mpix camera.

Nokia's E63 smartphone has appeared at the FCC site, and will soon be available in the U.S. Unfortunately, at the moment we don't know when it will be released exactly nor how much it will cost, but expect it to appear in Nokia's flagship stores first in the near future.

The FCC has just approved the new GSM version of the BlackBerry Storm, which will use GSM and WCDMA bands, instead of CDMA. The specifications shouldn't differ from those of the Storm 9500:

• Quad-band GSM/EDGE, WCDMA;
• 1GB ROM, 192MB RAM;
• 1400 mAh battery: standby time: 528 hours;
• MicroUSB port;
• MicroSD and MicroSDHC expandable up to 8GB;

The FCC is now testing a new version of the Nokia N85 designed for AT&T’s 3G networks. Supported frequencies include 850/1900GSM and 850/1900 WDCDMA.

The FCC has revealed a new Windows Mobile device from Samsung on its website, called the i770. According to FCC documents it runs Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, and features the following:

• Full QWERTY keyboard;
• CDMA-EVDO and quad-band GSM radios;
• Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.0+EDR;
• microSD storage cards;
• Headset jack;
• Camera (unknown res)

This one probably goes to Verizon Wireless, but this info is not confirmed yet.

ZTE's latest Vodafone 1231 smartphone has made it to the FCC, and pictures of the Vodafone-branded handset have appeared in the Web. The phone features a 2.5" QVGA display, built-in GPS, 64MB of RAM, and a 1.3Mpix camera, however it lacks 3G and Wi-Fi...

The HTC Opal has hit the FCC, which means the release is coming soon. It is definitely not the most anticipated handset of the year, but since the HTC Touch HD won't be coming to the U.S., I guess any decent phone will do.

FCC has approved the BlackBerry Storm for Verizon. They didn't name it, but just take a look at the attached picture and try to say we're wrong. Well, the release is still scheduled for November, and we continue to play the waiting game...

The Nokia N79 was first seen back at CTIA, and has been approved by the FCC today. We expect the North American launch in the near future.

FCC has added the new Sony Ericsson C905 to its line of to-be-approved phones, which means the release isn't far. The C905 is an 8.1Mpix cameraphone with xenon flash, face detection and even image stabilization functions, among the rest of its high-end features.
