Nokia 5800 XpressMusic been approved by the FCC yesterday and will be available worldwide in Q4 2008 for 279 EUR before taxes and subsidies. According to Reuters, the first Nokia S60 5th edition touchscreen phone will be sold in India, Indonesia, the United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Russia and Spain by end of this year. Other markets will get it in 2009.

A recent FCC filing revealed some i900L phone model at their labs supporting WCDMA 850/1900 and destined for AT&T. We believe it could be the Samsung Omnia, though it's just a supposition. Stay tuned for confirmation.

HTC’s S740 has passed the FCC’s quality check. Unfortunately, we didn't get much info from the FCC filing. So far we only know that it supports EDGE 850/1900, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi networks, and there was no word on the North American 3G either. That's all, expect more details to surface soon.

News Brief: The FCC has given the nod of approval to the highly anticpated HTC Touch HD. The handset sports the model number BLAC100, and will be also known as the Blackstone.

Today FCC has approved the HTC "Jade", better known as the Touch 3G.

Unfortunately (but expected), the 7.2Mbps HSDPA won't be available to North American users. Instead they'll have to enjoy the crappy 2G WCDMA on the 900 and 2100MHz bands, which won't even allow for chatting and browsing at the same time.

Oh well, that's life, atleast it'll make it stateside.

The Pantech OZII known as Helio Ocean 2 for most of you has landed at FCC today. The phone that could have saved Helio isn't all that exciting in terms of specs, but it's still a nice mid-level handset equipped with a QVGA display, EV-DO, 2Mpix camera, full HTML browser, and A2DP support.

FCC has approved a new Samsung handset, called the SGH-J808E. Currently, details are very scarce, but it is known that the phone will support Cellular/PCS GSM/EDGE and will come in with Bluetooth support. Stay tuned.

FCC has leaked a schematic image of the upcoming BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220. There is no info available about the handset, but with no barriers from the FCC on the way, we could see it landing at T-Mobile in the coming weeks.

The HTC Touch Pro (Raphael) has been approved for AT&T under the name of Fuze. It will support HSUPA 850/1900 data network, and will have a customized TouchFLO 3D interface. That's all we know judging by the available info.

The FCC has unveiled the rugged Samsung A837 bound for AT&T's network. The following specs are rumored, as there was no official word from the manufacturer:

• 1.3Mpix camera;
• Dual-band GSM/EDGE 850/1900 radios;
• WCDMA 3G;
• microSD card slot;
• Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP;
• Push-to-Talk (PTT) capability
