Nokia RM-359 a.k.a Nokia 5610 XpressMusic Approved by FCC

FCC has just approver the Nokia RM-359 also known as the 5610 XpressMusic . Just to let you know, the same device has already passed the FCC last month, but was marked RM-358.

Anyway, here are the specifications of the Nokia 5610 XpressMusic:

  • Network: GSM 850/900/1800/1900 and UMTS 850/2100;
  • OS: Symbian Series 40 Edition;
  • Display: 2.

FCC Approves Nokia N95 8GB for the U.S. Market

FCC Approves Nokia N95 8GB for the U.S. Market

FCC has approved the US version of the Nokia N95 with 3G support.

This means that the device will soon hit the stores, and we expect to see it on February 15, 2008.

Features will include 850/1900MHz HSDPA, 5Mpix camera with Zeiss optics, 30 fps DVD-quality video recording, integrated GPS and 8GB of on-board memory.

FCC Approves the Motorola W760r

FCC has recently approved the new unannounced Motorola W760r, a 3G cell phone, successor to the V365 model.

It has the same clamshell form factor as the V365, but offers some upgraded specifications:

  • 3G WCDMA 850/1900;
  • Quad-band GSM/EDGE;
  • 2Mpix camera (photo/video);
  • Stereo Bluetooth;
  • microSD slot (up to 4GB).

FCC Approves the UTStarcom CDM-7126 Tri-band CDMA Phone

The FCC has recently approved the new UTStarcom CDM-7126, which is the first tri-band CDMA phone supporting CDMA 850/1900 and 1700 AWS bands.

Carriers, who can pick up this handset, are Cricket, MetroPCS and US Cellular. Otherwise, the 7126 is a low-end clamshell similar to the 7125.

No word on the release date or pricing as of yet.

FCC Approves Samsung Z400 for Sprint

Samsung Z400 is a new rugged clamshell phone that has just been approved by the FCC and will soon be available from Sprint.

It will is compatible with the Sprint Direct Connect service thanks to an integrated Qualcomm QChat PTT chip, and includes features like internal and external displays, a camera, Bluetooth, stereo speakers, as well as dual antennas and an external memory card slot.

Sony Ericsson W890i Walkman phone has recently appeared on the FCC website, which means it is ready for the commercial release. The W890i is a thin (just 12mm) music-centric handset with the following features:

It looks like HP will soon start producing Bluetooth headsets, as a couple of their noise-canceling wireless headphones were recently spotted at the FCC website.

They weren't showcased at CES, so we can expect the official release in the coming months.

FCC has recently approved the new Nokia 3555, a 3G (1700MHz) flip phone, similar to the 6555 model.

It will be available from for AT&T and T-Mobile, but we have no idea when Nokia 3555 will be released, nor what features it will include.
