The new Gigabyte Gsmart M1220 is definitely worth looking at. It's a WM6.5-based business smartphone, very similar in design to Treo Pro/Bold, as it uses the same form-factor. As for the features, it's not bad either. Take a look at what the M1220 has to offrer:

• Qualcomm 528MHz processor;
• 128MB RAM;
• 2.4" QVGA touch-sensitive screen;
• QWERTY keyboard;
• Windows Mobile 6.

Here's a quick look at Gigabyte’s G-Smart S1200 smartphone in action. It uses the latest Smart Zone Windows Mobile interface, which is quite intuitive, as you can see, and looks pretty cool as well. They've got us interested.

The device should be released this quarter in various colors.

Gigabyte will be rolling out three new phone series at MWC 2009 soon, which include the Multimedia, Business and Style categories. The leaked MS820 model falls under the multimedia category, while the GSmart S1200 will probably be part of the Business class.

The latter is powered by Windows Mobile 6.1, utilizes a new Gigabyte UI called Smart Zone, and will run on a Qualcomm 528MHz CPU.

Apparently, Neuf Cegetel, a France-based mobile telecom operator will soon be offering the DVB-T-enabled Gigabyte t600 phone under the name of TWIN TNT.

In addition to the t600, the Taiwanese manufacturer has recently developed another TV-capable model, the MS808, which supports a variety of mobile TV standards, including DVB-T, DVB-H, ISDB-T and DMB, as well as Wi-Fi and GPS functionalities.

Just to let you know, the upcoming GSmart MS808 communicator from Gigabyte is expected to launch in Q3 2008. Here are some of its main specifications:

• Support for HSDPA, WCDMA 2100, EDGE and GSM (850/900/1800/1900) networks;
• 2.8" VGA touchscreen;
• Marvell PXA310 624MHz CPU;
• DVB-T, DVB-H, T-DMB, DAB support;
• 3Mpix AF camera;
• Secondary VGA camera for video conversations.

Gigabyte presented a couple of new G-Smart series handsets at the MWC show today, one of which was the MS800.

It is a 3.5G-capable GPS-enabled smartphone powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 OS. The release is scheduled on Spring 2008.
