Google has released a new  version of its mobile Gmail client. GMail for Mobile 2.0 is available for BlackBerry and java handsets, and can be downloaded for free at gmail.com/app (through your mobile browser).

Google has released a new version of its mobile Gmail application.

Gmail Version 1.5 offers less data consumption, syncs better with the full version on PC, and provides better search functionality.

Other enhancements include one click access to contact info, direct calling from Gmail, and the ability to save letters as draft.

Java Gmail client is a new application introduced from Google by means of which you can read your Gmail in an interface similar to the desktop experience.

Gmail's WAP site is also still available for users who cannot or do not wish to run Java applications. Application is available for free from Google though data charges still apply.
