Google Voice became better. Now in order to take advantage of its features, users can utilize their carrier-issued number, instead of getting one from Google. Also, the service became carrier independent, so if you swich to another carrier for a hot new device, you won't lose any messages and will have the same feature you used before.

It looks like there is a new Google-powered HTC device on its way to Verizon. It's called the HTC Desire 6200 and according to the source, it will be Google-branded, which means it won't feature the manufacturer's good-looking Sense UI.
Unfortunatelly, we have no other details about the device at the moment, but we'll keep you informed.

The source code for the Donut, an Android OS upgrade similar to Cupcake, has been made available to developers. It works on both the G1 and Magic, and includes the following features:
- Multi-touch support;
- Universal search;
- Text-to-speech;
- Automated backups;
- Redesigned camera app;
- New widgets;
- CDMA radio support

Google has released a new version of its Maps for Mobile for the Windows Mobile and S60 platforms. The latest Maps for Mobile 2.3 app now supports the Street Views feature, previously available only for iPhone, BlackBerry and Android platforms.
The feature provides street-level images of streets that users search for.

Today at Google's Developer Day event the company showed off its mysterious Android phone. According to reports it looks more “far more polished” than it was in its previous appearances, which makes us believe that the device is finished.
