A new picture of the cancelled Motorola Ruby VE1 has surfaced yesterday. While we doubt that this handset will help Moto to overcome the difficulties it faces due to the global financial crisis, it would be nice if they actually release it, as the Ruby VE1 is a decent phone. I mean, it has 3G support, GPS navigation, Wi-Fi and a 5Mpix camera.

During the MWC 2009 event, i-mate has announced a couple of its new smartphones, including the Legionnaire (pic) and Centurion. The first is a full-touchscreen handset bound for release in Q3 of 2009 for $500. The second doesn't have a touchscreen, but it does come with a QWERTY keyboard, as well as HSDPA support, GPS, Bluetooth, 2Mpix camera. The Centurion will be available in the second half of 2009 for $550.

The new Nokia 6710 Navigator as seen from the name mainly focuses on GPS navigation. One of its more useful features is the pedestrian mode. Nokia Maps will be able interact with OVI to sync content, as well as user created routes.
The mapping data for Nokia Maps is kept on the memory card, so there won't be a necessity to download data when you’re moving around.
