iPhone 4 Personal Hotspot is now official

Possibly the most anticipated new feature to come with iOS 4.3 is the Personal Hotspot capability.

After March 11, all the iPhone 4 owners will be able to turn their devices into a personal wireless hotspot.

With Personal Hotspot, you’ll be able to connect up to five devices to your iPhone 4 via WiFi, Bluetooth and USB to share your 3G data connection.

The WiFi hotspot is also secure, with a password being required on each device you attempt to connect to it.

AT&Ts first MiFi hotspot device soon to be available

The AT&T Mobile HotSpot MiFi 2372 will soon make it appearance on the market. The MiFi 2372 runs on AT&T's HSPA 7.2 network, it allows up to five Wi-Fi capable devices to share a single 3G connection. It also has a microSDHC so up to 32GB of storage can be added, and is GPS capable for location-based services. The device will launch on November 21 for $49.99 after a 100 mail-in-rebate and with a new AT&T contract.

T-Mobile to Offer Samsung t339 with HotSpot@Home Support

FCC has unveiled a new mid-range Wi-Fi enabled clamshell from Samsung called t339. It will soon be available from T-Mobile and even supports the carrier's HotSpot@Home service. Wow...

Apart from the above mentioned, this is a mediocre phone with medium specs and an ugly design, but you choose whether to buy it or not.

The release date wasn't announced yet.

T-Mobile's HotSpot@Home Talk Forever Service for Landline Phones

T-Mobile decided to extend its HotSpot@Home service from mobile handsets only to landline phones as well.

It is called Talk Forever and allows for unlimited domestic landline calling. In order to use the service, a new Hotspot@Home router is required, plus additional $10/month will be added to your T-Mobile account.

T-Mobile to Offer BlackBerry 8820 Staring March 5th?

Apparently, T-Mobile version of the BlackBerry 8820 smartphone will be available on March 5th.

It should be the same as the AT&T version, but will additionally support T-Mobile’s Hotspot@Home service.

Pricing details are unknown for now.

T-Mobile Hotspot @ Home is launched in Seattle

T-Mobile USA Inc made available its new T-Mobile Hotspot @ Home service to Seattle consumers. Universal Mobile Access (UMA) which allows a cell phone to make voice or data calls using pre-approved Wi-Fi hotspot instead of the cellular network. The service requires a dual-mode phone from T-Mobile USA and a special wireless router for use in the home.
