Acer F900 hits UK

Acer's F900 smartphone that was anounced back in February has finally been released. It is now available in the UK, unlocked, at £429 ($709), and packs the following features:

  • Windows Mobile 6.1 (can be upgraded to 6.5);
  • 3.8" WVGA touchscreen;
  • HSDPA/HSUPA connectivity;
  • GPS;
  • 3Mpix camera;
  • Acer’s new 2.0

Check out the new Samsung SCH-W740 codenamed “Haptic 8M”, the company's latest 8 megapixel touchscreen cameraphone with a unique face tagging feature, destined for the Korean market. Its features include:

  • 3.3" 480×800 touchscreen display;
  • TouchWiz user interface;
  • GPS;
  • Bluetooth;
  • 3.5G HSDPA;
  • DMB tuner;
  • 8Mpix camera with auto focus and face tagging (make a call or send a text message directly from your captured image)

The Haptic 8M will be available soon in Korea for 900,000₩ ($645).

Nautiz X5 Rugged Touchscreen Phone

The Nautiz X5 is a new rugged Windows Mobile 6.1 based touchscreen handset, produced by Handheld Europe. It's a the most feature rich rugged device on the market, and apart from the speedy 806MHz Marvell CPU, it is capable of withstanding temperatures ranging between -20°C and 55°C. X5's features include:

  • GSM/EDGE and UMTS/HSDPA connectivity;
  • 3.5" TFT touchscreen with 480 x 640 resolution;
  • SiRF star III GPS chip with InstantFix II;
  • Wi-Fi;
  • Bluetooth 2.

AT&T to Offer Samsung i637

AT&T to Offer Samsung i637

The FCC has approved today the new Samsung i637.

The device will be landing on AT&T's network, and will have HSDPA and Wi-Fi support, and a 1000 mAh battery.

i-mate Phones Announced

During the MWC 2009 event, i-mate has announced a couple of its new smartphones, including the Legionnaire (pic) and Centurion. The first is a full-touchscreen handset bound for release in Q3 of 2009 for $500. The second doesn't have a touchscreen, but it does come with a QWERTY keyboard, as well as HSDPA support, GPS, Bluetooth, 2Mpix camera. The Centurion will be available in the second half of 2009 for $550.

The new LG KT770 slider wasn't officially announced yet, but it is listed at the company's MWC website. It is a stylish feature-rich Symbian S60 3rd edition smartphone optimized for Internet & LBS with its 2.8" display screen, A-GPS support, and pre-embedded applications.LG KT770 Specifications:

Nokia E75 again in the spotlight

Nokia E75 again in the spotlight

Nokia's E75 has been spotted again, several months after it's first video appearance back in September. It is a stylish ultra-slim dual-keypad slider with a numeric keypad under the display and a slide-out landscape QWERTY keyboard. We can expect more info on the handset in the coming two weeks, prior to its official announcement. I think it's safe to say the launch will take place at the upcoming MWC 2009.

Samsung C6625 Revealed

The new Samsung C6625, a variant of the Samsung C6620 available in Italy has been spotted today on Expansys. It runs on Windows Mobile 6.1, and is similar in design to the Samsung BlackJack. The exact release date is unknown at the moment, but you can pre-order the C6625 on Expansys for £249.99 ($360). Features include:

  • 2.6" 320 x 240 display;
  • Tri-band GSM connectivity (900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz connectivity);
  • HSDPA 2100 MHz connectivity;
  • A-GPS;
  • Stereo FM radio with RDS;
  • Stereo Bluetooth;
  • 2Mpix camera with video recording;
  • 100MB of on-board memory;
  • microSDHC card support;
