FCC has recently revealed the new Samsung SGH-i788, and apparently it is the U.S. version of the existing i780 model.

It is quite possible that the new model won't feature all the same specs as its older brother (HSDPA, GPS or Wi-Fi may be lacking on this one), but it will surely keep the touchscreen, and will most likely run the latest Windows Mobile 6.1 OS.

According to Hank Kafka, vice president of network architecture for AT&T Mobility, the company plans to upgrade its entire 3G network to HSPA (7.2Mbps) by the end of 2008.

AT&T had 255 markets covered by HSDPA in the end of 2007, and expects to have 350 major metropolitan markets running HSPA before the beginning of 2009.

AT&T has just launched Sony Ericsson’s new HSDPA-capable Z750a clamshell phone.

LG has released the new LG-SH240, a stylish 3G HSDPA-capable cell phone.

The new LG U830 is a 3G HSDPA-capable flip phone, a successor to the LG Chocolate.

Available in black and silver, it is pretty large in size measuring 49mm wide and 98mm tall when closed, and offers upgraded features like a 2Mpix and 180MB of internal memory, though without the expansion slot this is almost nothing for a music-centric handset.

A few days ago Motorola has launched its Z8 multimedia slider in Taiwan.

It is a Symbian UIQ 3.1 based smartphone featuring HSDPA support, 2.2" QVGA display, stereo Bluetooth, 2Mpix camera, media player, and a microSD slot.

But as you probably know, the launch of the more advanced Z10 model isn't far, so we recommend you to wait a little.

ASUS has a new HSDPA-enabled WM6-based GPS Phone, called the ASUS P750.

It is a Candy Bar shaped handset with a numeric keypad, a joystick navigator and some shortcut keys.

Operating on a 520MHz processor, the device features Wi-Fi connectivity, SiRF star III GPS chipset, Bluetooth 2.

Sony Ericsson K660 is a new 3G handset designed to make mobile Web browsing as convenient as it is on a PC.

The phone's features include HSDPA support delivering lightning fast data speeds, illuminated Web shortcut keys, as well as desktop shortcuts, and an advanced Web browser with a magnetic mouse pointer.
