Orange customers in the UK are lucky, as they'll be getting one of the most powerful smartphones to date - the Samsung i8910 HD. Sounds almost like a steal considering all the high-end goodness you'll be getting.

Samsung W600 with HSUPA

Samsung W600 is a new HSUPA phone that will provide uplink speeds of up to 5.76 Mbps and will feature a 800 x 380 3” touchscreen with haptic feedback, and support for mobile TV via T-DMB. The handset has been recently showcased at Korea Electronics Show, and will soon be available in the home market for 800,000 - 900,000 KRW from SKT and KTF.

A new smartphone from Asus has been leaked today. It's called Glaxy7 and has a pretty impressive feature set, which is not yet confirmed but is very likely.

Updated: Sony Ericsson G705 Kumiko Gets Official

Sony Ericsson has announced today its new G705 phone, known as the Kumiko.

It will feature a 3.2Mpix camera with LED flash + 3G cam for video calls, HSUPA support, and M2 memory card slot, and will come with a couple of accessories, including the Bluetooth Car Kit HCB-108 and the Digital Photo Frame IDP-100.

Qualcomm completes the first 20Mbps HSPA+ data call

Qualcomm has successfully completed the world's first data call via HSPA+ network. Data throughput exceeded 20Mbps using a 5MHz band of the spectrum.

HSPA+ is backwardly compatible with current UMTS, HSDPA, and HSUPA devices, has a theoretical maximum bandwidth of 42Mbps for the downlink and 22Mbps for the uplink, and will double the data capacity of the current HSPA network while trippling the voice capacity.

AT&T's HSUPA Network is Almost Finished

AT&T announced they are about to complete upgrading their 3G network to HSPA (HSDPA + HSUPA).

HSUPA provides upload speeds ranging from 500 to 800Kbps when used with compatible devices, so it's a serious step forward.

The company also said that in a month they will have 275 markets covered by the new network, and by the end of the year they plan to extend it to 350 markets.

Samsung's First HSUPA Phone, the SCH-M470

Samsung has recently unveiled its first HSUPA-enabled (advanced W-CDMA) smartphone model called SCH-M470.

Apart from that, the M470 features 2Mpix camera, video telephony, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, push email, and web access with Google search.

Available only in Korea for approximately 600,000 won or $615.
