Orange UK website lists HTC Hero

The HTC Hero has appeared on Orange UK's website, however it currently wears a teasing "coming soon" badge. According to Orange, the pricing information should be available tomorrow, but you can definitely expect the free-on-plan option among others. T-Mobile is also expected to release the device shortly after under a different name, probably G1 Touch, also fully subsidized.

Verizon has released its HTC Ozone (a.k.a. Snap). It is available now for $49.99 after $70 mail-in rebate and 2-year contract via Web, telesales and B2B channels with in-store availability expected on July 13th.

Rumor: Sprint to Get HTC Hero and a Samsung Android device

Great news for Sprint customers: PhoneNews reported that the carrier is internally testing the recently launched HTC Hero, which means the handset could be landing on its network sometime later this year.

Furthermore: apparently, Sprint is also testing an unknown Android-powered WiMax-capable device by Samsung, scheduled for release sometime in the end of 2009, or in the beginning of 2010.

HTC Hero 15-minute Hands On Video Walkthrough

Check out the following 15 minute video walkthrough of the recently announced Android-powerhouse, the HTC Hero.

The phone's new HTC Sense UI allows users to customize their handset with many different widgets developed by HTC. You can also save each customization into different scenes so that you could quickly switch to a different set of widgets when needed.

The Hero will be available next month in Europe, followed by Asia shortly after.

8Mpix HTC Firestone details

A photo and some new details have recently surfaced about the HTC Firestone. The main attraction of the said handset is its 8Mpix camera, but if rumors are to be believed, it will also feature:

  • 3.6” WVGA touch screen;
  • Bluetooth;
  • Wi-Fi;
  • Qualcomm 8250 600 MHz processor;
  • Wiindows Mobile 6.5

Also, you can expect the phone to be launched around August, but that's not confirmed.

BGR has posted some new info on the Verizon version of the HTC Snap, known as the HTC Ozone. It is expected to become available online starting June 29, and should arrive in retail stores on July 13. Basing on some leaked official documents, the handset will be available for $49.99 on a 2-year contract after a $70 mail-in rebate, and will feature:

Android fans who didn't manage to get the Google Ion (a.k.a. HTC Magic) will be happy to know that the said handset will also be available from T-Mobile sometime this summer as the myTouch 3G. According to the Wall Street Journal, the details on that matter will be announced next week.

Sprint's HTC Snap comes on June 21

An official rep from Sprint has confirmed that the company will begin selling the HTC Snap on June 21. This handset was first announced in April, and is now available through Best Buy for the unsubsidized price of $519. Sprint will be selling it for $150 after rebate with new 2-year contract.

The HTC Snap comes with a 2Mpix camera with video capture, Bluetooth 2.
