HTC announced a new mid-range device - dual-sim Desire 600.The price was not announced yet, but full specs sheet will compensate the lack of the price tag.The device will pack Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB of RAM, dual-SIM capability, 8-megapixel rear camera, 1.6-megapixel front-facing one and 8GB of internal storage.Also there is HTC BoomSound, which includes dual frontal stereo speakers with built-in amplifiers as well as studio-quality sound with Beats Audio; and HTC BlinkFeed.

HTC One users may be happy to hear that in the next two to three weeks the Taiwanese company is preparing an update that will include Android 4.2.2.The final stage is usually the most time-consuming as it includes identifying and removing all of the bugs, while making final tweaks to the firmware to make for a more stable users experience, so we’re still not sure when that will happen exactly.

AT&T has decided to pull the plug on the HTC First ‘Facebook phone’ after only being on the market for a few weeks, as the device is getting canned due to “shockingly bad” sales.AT&T dropped the price of the phone to a meager $0.99.Anyway, it's a bad sign for Facebook and HTC as both companies try to jock for its place in the lucrative mobile device market.

According to latest rumors, HTC is prepping tablets (plural) with Windows on board for an unveiling in the fall and a release in time for the next holiday season.Chances are the two will run an RT version of the next major Windows release, codenamed Blue, but this is all up in the air for now.The spec sheets include several very intriguing features, like a Full HD panel, 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 CPU and 2 GB of RAM for the 7-incher and a whopping 2,048 x 1,536 pix res screen for the 12-inch R12.
