HTC One Successor May Land in March

HTC’s followup to their 2013 flagship the HTC One will be arriving in March, touting a twin-sensor camera and the newest Qualcomm processor, the Snapdragon 800.The next One is expected to have a 5 inch screen, a little bigger than the 2013 HTC One’s 4.7 inch display, while the M8 is also rumored to rock 3GB of RAM, Sense 6.0 and LTE-Advanced connectivity.

If you own an HTC One X or One X+, chances are that your device is already running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.Unfortunately, it looks like there’s nothing next, at least not when it comes to official software updates.HTC UK and HTC Netherlands have seemingly confirmed on Twitter that the two smartphones (released in 2012) would not be updated beyond Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and Sense 5 UI.Of course, both handsets should be perfectly capable of running 4.

Gold-colored HTC One Max has been released, though only in Taiwan, joining other color options (red and black) which too are limited to certain markets.Aside from a fresh paint job, this remains the same HTC One Max under the hood, sporting a 5.9-inch full HD screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core chip and Ultrapixel camera on the back.Still no word when or even whether the gold One Max will hit the U.

HTC Desire 400 outed by HTC's Ukrainian and Russian websites

HTC has unveiled a new member of its Desire family of devices - the newly unannounced Desire 400 dual-SIM has been caught at the company’s Ukrainian and Russian websites.Russians will get a better version of the phone, one that rocks Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core chip clocked at 1.2GHz of RAM, 8-megapixel rear and 1.6-megapixel front cameras. On the other hand, the Ukrainian website features the same phone with dual-core processor, 5-megapixel camera on the back and VGA front-facing camera.

The HTC Butterfly S is receiving a software update starting today. It brings Android 4.3 to the table, as well as HTC’s Sense 5.5 UI. The gold-colored HTC One has made an appearance in the U.K., and is now available for purchase through Carphone Warehouse as well as Phones 4u.The Gold HTC One first made an appearance a few weeks back in Finland, and has now made its way to the U.K.Carphone Warehouse is offering a few contract options through Vodafone and O2, with one of the Vodafone offerings providing the gold HTC One for free with a two-year contract with 1GB of data for £29.

The HTC M8 Launch Date Can Be Released Soon

As a Judge Richard Arnold announced, that HTC is close to launching the successor flagship model to the HTC One. Though HTC has not revealed the launch date, Nokia has adduced evidence which suggests that the launch date is in the first quarter of 2014 and possibly as early as February 2014.The judge does not actually name the device as the M8, but based on the leaked specs, chances are he is talking about the same device.

HTC unveils a range of low- and mid-end Desire devices

During a presentation on Taiwan HTC has unveiled a few new low- and mid-end Desire smartphones.HTC Desire 700 looks like a cheap version of the HTC One, with specs that include:

  •     5-inch qHD screen
  •     Qualcomm-made quad-core chip, most likely Snapdragon 400
  •     1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage
  •     8-megapixel rear camera with BSI sensor and f/2.

HTC outs Desire 701 and 500

HTC today introduced the Desire 700 and Desire 501 smartphones, both aimed at the mid-range market in said Asian territory.The 700 features a 5-inch, qHD display alongside BoomSound speakers, a quad-core Snapdragon chip, 1GB RAM, 8GB of internal storage and a 2,100mAh battery. The 501, on the other hand, packs those same traits but with a smaller 4.3-inch, WVGA screen and a 1.5GHz dual-core processor.
