It was just last week over at the recently concluded MWC 2014 that HTC announced the presence of the HTC Desire 816 to the world with half a dozen colors – white, gray, black, red, indigo and green. Now, it seems that there are two more color variants available, which are yellow and pink.Both of these have appeared in China via one of HTC’s official webpages, considering how China happens to be the first country worldwide that the new smartphone will be made available from this month onward.

A wild silver HTC M8 just appeared. A forum member over at HardForums posted a bunch of these new photos, where it depicts the upcoming HTC One successor from both the back as well as a full frontal shot.It is touted that the HTC M8 will be thinner and taller compared to its predecessor, with an “incredible” 4MP front-facing camera being on the selfie duty roster.

According to this G4Games article, HTC is working on the successor to its Butterfly S smartphone.Codenamed “GLU2,” this device may debut on Japan’s KDDI network, though we’re sure some other markets will get it as well.The device will rock specs comparable to the HTC M8, and include things like a Sharp-made 5.2-inch full HD screen, Snapdragon 801 chip clocked at 2.3GHz, 2GB of RAM, a pair of 5MP UltraPixel cameras on the back, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, 3,000mAh battery, and 16 or 32 GB of internal storage.

AT&T and T-Mobile HTC One Android 4.4 KitKat and Sense 5.5 Updates Approved

HTC One owners on AT&T and T-Mobile will be receiving a significant update soon, that includes Android 4.4 KitKat and Sense 5.5.According to tweets from HTC’s Executive Director of Product Management, the updates have been approved by both AT&T and T-Mobile and will be rolling out OTA in the near future.The update will more than likely be sizeable, so make sure you have a fully charged device and are connected to WiFi before downloading the update.
