Android phones will officially come to Canada in the beginning of June. Both the HTC Dream and HTC Magic will be available from Rogers Wireless for $199.99 on a 3-year contract starting June 2nd. The off-contract option will cost you a whole $649.99. Get your wallets ready for 'em.
According to last week's reports, it looks like HTC Touch Pro2 will be coming on Sprint sometime in mid-June. This came from a SprintUsers poster, who backed up his words with some nice pictures of the device. It's still just a rumor, however, so don't get your hopes up. Stay tuned.
Don't fall for that HTC Magic impostor that floats around at eBay. Yes, it looks like a real deal, only it lacks the HTC logo, 3G support and Android OS. But what did you expect to get for just $122.99?
The HTC Touch Pro2 has recently appeared on Vodafone UK site under the Business phones category. There's no price for it, but we're sure it will be heavily subsidized when it starts selling. For some reason Vodafone has added a space in the phone's name, thus calling it the Touch Pro 2. The expected released date is June 5th, though this is is just a guess.
A new ROM upgrade v1.40.707.1 is now available at HTC support site for HTC Touch Diamond2 users in Asia. The most notable change is the phone's updated radio, but we can't tel if it will improve reception of battery life. Engadget Spanish came up with a hands-on video demonstration of the HTC Magic. The handset resembles the previous G1/Dream, but lacks a physical keyboard. Check out the video below.
New Sprint subscribers looking to buy the HTC Touch Pro should head over to Amazon, as the phone is currently available there for just $99 (after a $100 mail in rebate). It is a lot cheaper than paying $299 to Sprint directly.
DoCoMo's has recently announced its new HT-03A handset, which looks exactly like the HTC Magic. In fact, it is a rebranded HTC Magic and is the first Android-powered phone offered by the Japanese carrier. It will be running the latest Android 1.5 OS, which is predictable.
In addition, DoCoMo is apparently planning an interesting surprise for smartphone lovers in 2 week’s time.

The upcoming HTC Hero, also known as the G3, has been pictured, and at a glance, it looks rather similar to the to the HTC Magic. It looks like it lacks the trackball, but instead offers the 3.5mm headphone jack, which was lacking on the G1.
