The HTC S522 has appeared at the FCC site under its MAPL100 (Maple) codename. The device will be fully compatible with T-Mobile’s HSPA network, since it features 3G support on the AWS band. T-Mobile, however, won't be the exclusive carrier for the handset in the U.S., as unbranded S522 is on its way to stateside release this summer.

HTC's Touch 3G has received a new ROM Upgrade. It is available in English (Pan Europe, UK and East Europe), Italian, Dutch, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese and Russian languages, and offers the following improved functions and fixes:

• Fixed auto-reboot issue after enabling WLAN;
• Added the control panel to the action panel after taking a picture in theme mode;
• Improved QuickGPS updating through ActiveSync, Wi-Fi and GPRS;
• Enhanced Opera’s browsing performance while running other applications

The new HTC's Touch Diamond2 has been released in Europe, and its unboxing videos have started popping up like mushrooms after the rain. Here's one of them. Enjoy.

We have some pricing details regarding the upcoming HTC Magic from Vodafone. According to the Italian Vodafone site, new customers who are planning to buy an HTC Magic will be able to get the phone for free with certain plans, while current subscribers - at an initial tax of 149 Euro, plus additional 9 Euro per month (most likely for two years). One will also be able to purchase the device with a prepaid card for 449 Euro.

The Bluetooth SIG group hinted us today on an upcoming HTC device, which wasn’t listed in the previously leaked HTC 2009 lineup. It's labeled the HTC Fiesta, and will most likely be released next year. Today we can only presume it will be Android-powered, will have bluetooth support, and will be targeting Asian, European and North American markets.

HTC Touch Diamond2 will be released this month in Taiwan. It will cost NT$21,900 (US$648.93) and will come with an included 8GB memory card. The UK version is due to launch next week, and hopefully we'll also see the U.S. variant in April.

Expansys has put up HTC the Touch Pro 2 for preorder today. The phone will supposedly be available on June 5th at a price of about €550 (incl. VAT). Well, online retailers were never reliable sources of info, but hopefully this time Expansys is telling the truth.

All of the previous rumors were true - HTC's already-dated Touch Diamond will be hitting Verizon Wireless tomorrow, April 10th, at a price of $299.99 on contract after $70 mail-in rebate. Is it just us, or is the price tag too high?

HTC has released a new firmware update for their HTC Touch HD (unlocked version). It includes fixes for several browsing issues and title-bar flicker. The GPS Lock is now supposedly faster, Connection Setup database is up-to-date, emergency call handling in flight mode has also been improved...

According to BGR, Verizon is ready to launch its custom version of the HTC Touch Diamond for all B2B, web and telesales customers. The handset will be available on VZW starting April 10 for $199.99 on a 2-year contract after mail-in rebates, or for $469.99 w/o commitments.
