Telus has launched the new HTC 7 Surround Windows Phone 7 smartphone. The device features Dolby Surround Sound with SRS enabled speakers as well as a 1GHz processor, 8GB of internal memory, a 3.8" (800 x 480) touchscreen display, and a 5Mpix HD camera. Pricing and availability details weren't disclosed.

Three in the UK issued an over-the-air (OTA) update for the HTC Desire. Version 2.25.771.1 is includes the latest iteration of HTC Sense, 720p HD video capture capability, HTC's App Share widget, HTC Caller ID, and an enhanced multi-language keyboard. Also, the included HTC's Sync software provides users with the ability to sync their music with iTunes.

Sprint announced an official OTA maintenance-release software update for the Samsung Epic 4G. The software will be automatically downloaded to your phone since this is a recommended update, and will take abot 15 mins to be downloaded and installed.The new software version is: S:D700.0.5S.DI18; to perform the update your device must be on software version DI07. Older versions can be updated to DI07 in a Sprint Service and Repair Center.

The unlocked version of the HTC Desire Z is now up for pre-order at Amazon U.K. for £429.99 ($672). It is available to Vodafone, Orange, O2, and T-Mobile and will start shipping October 11.The HTC Desire Z resembles T-Mobile's new G2, and offers a 800MHz Qualcomm 7230 processor, a 5Mpix camera with 720p HD video recording, and a large 3.7" touchscreen display, and "Fast Boot" technology.
