T-Mobile has just introduced its latest Windows Mobile 6 based smartphone, called the Shadow. The device is manufactured by HTC and comes with a SureType keypad, easy to use UI, and a D-pad, also useable as a scroll wheel for navigation through the menus. Some of the features include quad-band GSM/EDGE support, stereo Bluetooth, 2Mpix camera, microSD slot, and Wi-Fi connectivity.

The yet unannounced HTC Polaris will apparently be renamed to Touch Cruise, thus becoming the third handset in the Touch series. Verizon Wireless unveiled 4 new business smartphones for the rest of the year: - Samsung i760: a Windows Mobile 6 based slider with both the numeric keypad and full QWERTY keyboard. Features include stereo Bluetooth, a 1.3Mpixl camera, and EV-DO data. It will be available online starting October 19 for $350 after rebate and new2-year contract.

Starting November 4th Sprint will begin selling the HTC Touch (EV-DO version). This model doesn't differ from the GMS-based one, and features a large touch-screen, HTC's TouchFLO interface, microSD slot, stereo Bluetooth, 2Mpix camera, runs on Windows Mobile 6 Professional OS, and will include support for Sprint's Music Store, video content and On-Demand services.

Here is another rumor concerning the Google phone: according to a UBS analyst HTC plans to release 50,000 handsets running on the Google's upcoming mobile OS by the end of 2007. Although most analysts believe that the search giant will release only the operating system, if the Google/HTC partnership really exists, we all can expect first Gphones to appear sometime in 2008.

Apparently, Sprint will release a ROM update for its Mogul smartphone on October 22nd. The new ROM will include a number of bug fixes and enhancements, one of which is the upgraded stereo Bluetooth. Many users complained about low sound quality and interruptions in audio playback when connected via Bluetooth, but now this problem is fixed.

Alltel subscribers will soon be able to get their hands on several new handsets in the nearest future. And now by order: the first is Palm Treo 755p smartphone, not the best option to choose; next is the Blackberry Pearl 8130, which will launch along with the 755p; and the last smartphone is the one named UTStarcom 6850, probably a re-branded version of the HTC Mogul.
