According to Engadget's recent report based on an official Windows Mobile 6.5 PR and an internal memo from AT&T, the new HTC Tilt 2, the carrier-branded Touch Pro2 is currently available to business customers and will bereleased for everyone starting October 18th.
Starting yesterday the Android-based HTC Hero is available for purchase to Sprint customers trough the company's retail locations and online, as well as at BestBuy. The price is $179 ($479 off-contract). Now ask yourself this question: whats's better, Hero or Pre?
Besides the HTC Pure, AT&T has also launched the Tilt 2, basically a carrier-branded Windows Mobile 6.5 based HTC Touch Pro2. The phone comes with a 3.6" WVGA display, full QWERTY keyboard with tilt-up display , full duplex speakerphone, and a 3.2Mpix camera, and will be available "in the following weeks" for $299.99 after $50 rebate.
Just in case you didn't know, three days ago AT&T has released the new Pure, the company's version of the HTC Touch Diamond2 with Windows Mobile 6.5 on board. So if you were looking for a WM6.5 powered device, this one's a nice choice. You can get it now for $149.99 on contract after a $50 rebate.

Vodafone's online store currently lists the HTC Tattoo, the second Android phone featuring HTC’s custom Sense user interface. The deivce comes with a 2.8″ QVGA touchscreen, 3.2Mpix camera, 4-way directional pad, FM radio, 3.5 mm standard headphone jack, Android 1.6 Donut update, and will be released sometime in October at yet unknown price point. BoyGeniusReport has confirmed previous information regarding the upcoming HTC WhiteStone for Verizon Wireless. The phone will be available from October 6th, the same day the official Windows Mobile 6.5 launch is scheduled for, and will be officially named HTC Imagio.
