Wow, great copy! I think this time Chinese have managed to create a perfect clone of a handset. This time it's HTC Touch Dual, and damn it looks so real. Anyway, just for the sake of propriety they put an "HY" sign on the back to let everyone know the device is fake.

Chinese have cloned yet another device. This time it’s HTC TyTN II. As you can see the fonts and icons on the screen here are wrong, but generally this is a quality fake, as the phone itself looks almost the same. Moreover, it has two SIM slots and runs Windows Mobile.
Can you beat that? :) Impressive!

HTC suddenly introduced the U.S. variant of the Touch Dual smartphone.
It is basically the same handset that is sold in Europe, but now it supports quad-band GSM with 850/1900 MHz UMTS/HSDPA networks and runs the newly launched Windows Mobile 6.1 OS.
According to HTC, they plan to release the Dual sometime in Q2, but didn't announce the carrier.<

Verizon Wireless announced the upcoming launch of the new XV6900, the carrier-branded version of the HTC Touch smartphone. It should be released in April 2008 with a price of $349.99 after a 2-year service agreement and mail-in rebate. Verizon XV6900 features:
- 2.8" touchscreen display;
- White color scheme;
- Windows Mobile 6 Professional;
- Ability to view and edit Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files;
- 2Mpix camera;
- microSD card slot for expanded storage;
- Bluetooth 2.

The upcoming HTC
smartphone, based on Google's Android OS will be named "Dream".
The handset will measure about 5" long and 3" wide, and
will feature a large touchscreen with a full sliding (or swiveling)
QWERTY keypad underneath, and Internet navigational controls.
The
release is expected in the end of the year.

Sprint announced the availability of a software update for the HTC Mogul that will add support for the carrier's EV-DO Rev.A network.
This means that data speeds will be much faster than before. Download speeds will rise to 600-1,400 kbps, and upload will boost to 350-500 kbps. Almost like HSDPA, don't you agree?
Previously HTC Mogul used the slow EV-DO Rev.

The new GSM communicator HTC P3470, also known as Pharos is the successor to the old P3300 model, which offers updated features at the same cost. It will be available in early/mid May at a price of $550-600. The only downside is the lack of FM radio and, especially, Wi-Fi connectivity, which is a deal breaker for some people.
