Continuing our previous post, Sprint has confirmed that HTC Hero will also get an Android 2.1 update coming in early Q2. And according to a follow-up tweet, OTA vs. PC-based or in-store upgrades are "still TBD upgrade options" for both the HTC Hero and Samsung Moment.

According to the recently published PR, owners of the HTC Hero will receive an official Android 2.1 update with Sense in "mid March". The update will also feature a new Friend Stream widget that aggregates user updates across services, tweaked Exchange support, and some other goodies. We can't tell you whether it will be available globally though.

FCC has approved the nameless HTC PB31200 smartphone, which supports CDMA/CDMA2000 850/1900 MHz bands. This basically means that it may make an appearance with either Verizon or Sprint.
